Faenol Fawr Country House & Manor Hotel

Absolutely wonderful place. Beautiful rooms and the staff cannot do enough for you, they were all so pleasant, cheerful and a good laugh. Food too was good, from breakfast through to the evening menu. Can't recommend the place highly enough.

This place is so good! If you are planning a big party, wedding etc this is your place and they could definitely accommodate friends and family to stay. It is a fantastic manor such an amazing building. It's run by 2 brothers who are so friendly and so helpful. We only stayed overnight for work reasons but would love to stay here again. The breakfasts are lovely.

The food was outstanding, from the sumptuous hors d'oevres to the hearty soup and then the most delicious roast beef dinner. Excellent night had. Great parking. So accommodating. Really recommend 👌

This is the nicest places I have stayed. Beautiful historic house, quaint self-catering cottages (which I was fortunate to stay in), and the staff. Well they can't be any friendlier or warmer in their welcome and throughout my stay. They really do go above and beyond and make you feel like you're part of a caring family. I am truly grateful for all the help and kindness they have all shown me.

Upon arrival and driving down the long driveway you have a real sense of being in a manor house setting.
Arriving in the car park was no disappointment, the building and surroundings were idyllic.

Staff were very welcoming and made the check-in process seamless. All throughout the stay the staff were excellent and never too busy to have a chat and tell you about the history of the place.

The bedroom was quite basic, everything you need really but could do with a bit of a spruce up with fresh paint and a proper spring clean. The building itself, more so the pub area...was full of character and considering the age of the property the original features were amazing. From big fireplace to wooden beams and ornate staircase to traditional archways near the bar. The bar area is where you have a wonderfully cooked Welsh breakfast with great local produce all served with a smile. You could also help yourself to continental style breakfast with the usual croissants and pastries to cereal and toast. Steeped in history this place was great to visit and would definitely go back again. Thank you for having us.

We attended a 50th birthday meal for a beautiful lady called sharon. The place was stunning, the food was second to none, and the service from the friendly staff was impeccable. We will most definitely be visiting this beautiful place again.

Went for a family meal, was really fantastic. I could eat for Wales at times and was amazed by the quality and quantity of food, really couldn't eat everything that came and then a wedge of cheesecake that I didn't manage to finish 🤣

Warm, friendly check in. Lovely room, delicious food but mainly amazing staff. The owner, his son and everyone were so good, nothing is too much trouble.
Great location to explore North Wales.

Went for a business meal and it was excellent. Very nice food and excellent service. Didn't stay thus no stars against rooms. The barn is very pleasant.

Got married here at the end of December 2021. We were due to get married in September 2023, but due to the health of a family member we decided to bring it forward so they could attend

The Faenol Fawr, made planning a wedding in 3 weeks as easy as possible. All questions answered quickly, they were quick to respond and also so chilled! Which 100% helped relax us

The weather was awful, so they’d set up a nice area for pictures which was such a good surprise as we were worried whilst driving from the church! The venue itself was absolutely gorgeous. Drinks reception in the hotel which made the guests feel relaxed and then the reception was held in the barn. Everyone said how amazing it was!!

Also, they were really accommodating to our requests for jäger bombs as toast drink, they took everything in their stride and made it the most amazing day

I can’t thank them enough for supporting the move in date, specifically as this was timed perfectly for the health reasons

I had my wedding at Faenol Fawr recently and had the most amazing day. We had the ceremony and reception in the Barn but the whole venue is beautiful. Lots of my guests stayed at the venue for the weekend and all commented on how much they enjoyed their stay. Steven and Lilli were so accommodating as my wedding date changed a couple of times due to Covid. They offer such a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Jonathan and Danielle looked after all of my guests on the day and made sure everything ran smoothly. All of the staff throughout were wondeful. I can't recommend the venue enough and can't wait to return.

I had my wedding here this year and it exceeded all expectations. I booked a beautiful room for the night before and the peacocks were there for the evening I didnt mind at all there was a great displays of there tails which added to the magic of the weekend. I cant fault the staff nothing was too much trouble and their service was impeccable. Thank you for making my wedding comfortable, peaceful and a lovely memorie to have.

Attended and helped prep for a wedding here, the owners and their staff were amazing. Friendly and helpful in all aspects of prep and service. The food was delicious and well presented, the atmosphere was perfect.

Lovely Manor house spa and hotel. Very nice of the lady to show us around and also let us have a pot of tea in the breakfast room. We will be booking to stay here very soon.

Friendly helpful staff. Room was different in a pleasant way! Some marks on the wall but nothing that bothered us as the positives far outweighed any niggles, but room may need a lick of paint in places. However only mentioning it as some might be bothered. We thought that the staff, food, location and general atmosphere made up for a few marks on the paint work. We stayed two nights with diner and bed and breakfast. Food was delicious. We didn't use the pool as forgot our swimsuits, but it looked clean and relaxing. It's not massive as someone complained about on another review, but you're hardly going to find an Olympic sized pool in a manor house ! Will definitely be back and would recommend ☺

We stayed for 2 nights, mid week. It is such a beautiful place. The staff can't do enough to help you. They make you feel really welcome, as if they actually want you there! The food was beautiful. The chef was really accommodating with food allergies/intolerances etc. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely go back.
