Skylark Garden Centre & Cafe

We not only went to the garden centre but also spent the day at the Maze and play park. Great fun for the children (it was not busy when we were there). Ample free parking with several options for food and drink (I can personally recommend the ploughman's!) All in all, a great family day out!

Beautiful garden centre, wouldn't say it is massive but a good size! Love all the local food and drink selections.

It is amazing! Breakfasts are the best around, absolutely stunning, fresh, and perfectly cooked, kudos to the chef! The staff are always so lovely, thank you!!

We visited again November 2023. This was for trip out, thanks to my daughter and son-in-law. I had a really good, appetising, tasty Sunday lunch.
Later I took a few photos of the 4 pygmy goats. Really brilliant.
Very good selection of all things garden related.
Some were too expensive for me, others good value.
Toilets very clean, with sanitiser available.
Only let down for me, and anyone who has walking/standing problems was the lack of any seating, except in the café. Home now and suffering from walking too far.

What it is, is, you never quite know what to expect from Skylark. Today it's full of Christmas, a supreme toasted teacake and perfectly percolated coffee. Extraordinary, as ever.

Probably the very best cheese scone I've ever tasted: warm from the oven with plenty of butter. Sensational.

Absolutely fantastic. Really well cooked food. We had two items from the new menu. My wife had the quiche Lorraine and I had the nacho cheese burger. Two clean plates. Wonderful friendly people looking after us in a lovely atmosphere. We will be returning. Thank you so very much.

What a fabulous day out at Skylark Garden . Great large and mini maize , has a catapult water fight area (take spare cloths unless warm day), zip wire, go karts for adults and children well supervised by staff , large bouncy beach castle , giant haystack to climbe , 3 large Tower sack floors, tractor rides, scarecrow ball shooter, 2pm pig racers , great excitement seeing them run around circuit. Plenty of eating and drinking places. Family ticket very good value, all staff fantastic and attentive to rides ,

Lovely garden centre. Brought some bedding plants very reasonably priced. A good variety of plants and water Fountains. Selection of garden tools and furniture. Well situated good parking. Amazing little cafe with very good home made food. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

We had a lovely, tasty lunch. The Lasagne was hot and yummy.
They were quite busy, but the server was attentive, apologised for the delay.
We actually did not feel like we waited that long.

Was looking for some were to have breakfast thought would try was really surprised we had a lovely breakfast will definitely use again. they were setting up the Christmas shop and had some really nice decorations as well as the normal garden centre stuff

Had breakfast in the cafe. First class ingredients used. Very friendly staff. It was extremely busy, but the service was excellent. They took part in the two minutes silence for remembrance Sunday, which was lovely. Would recommend

Great place for food in the Cafe, great place at Christmas with Santa's grotto, the annual maize maze is fabulous with the kids and all other events through the year are really good fun.

The shop itself is relatively decent, I'd say somewhat expensive for some of the more basic plants and sundries in store.

Best coffee around in their cafe. Some good deals in the garden centre. Looking forward to attending more events with my granddaughter

I absolutely love skylark!!! I come hear at least 3-4 times a year for different event. My children have so much fun throughout the day. Our favourite is the tractor ride and shooting the water pistols to get the pigeons but we dont bother with pigeons and just soak each other lol. The maize is brilliant and is such fun getting lost and finding your way out. Everyone enjoys the pig racing it really is fantastic to watch.
My only criticism would be that all activities are more for children over 5 and I would really love to see perhaps some slides or activities for the under 5 to go on as my nearly 3 year old did get really upset that he could not go on the big slides with his brother and sister. Other then that the place is amazing!!! Highly recommend.

Cafe was absolutely spot on, very nice Panini served up.
The garden center was also very good with good quality plants even this late in the season.
Only gripe was the foul stench as you left, assuming it was the toilet waste drains ?

Good service. Online ordering easy. Big plus, a friendly, helpful delivery driver. Recommend highly as a regular customer

Dog friendly, pleasant experience. Our food was very tasty despite how busy they were after the car boot, but I would add one thing, my egg, sausage, and bacon sandwich was sincerely let down by the bread! It was far too flimsy! A big bap or rustic style bread might be better! I had to eat it with a knife and fork 🤣🍽

The cafe was welcoming and had excellent choices.
Enjoyed a second visit as the first was great. Not disappointed. Food was excellent again.
