The Oliver Cromwell Hotel

This is a 3 star hotel and if judged on that , it's very good .breakfast was good only cold . Staff very helpful and friendly. Bed and sheet clean. Good night's sleep .
Value for money , very good .
Will be back.

i stay here a few times a year, the staff are brilliant, a lot of the rooms have been modernised and the walk in shower is spot on, the beds are comfortable and the rooms are always clean, the breakfast is ok but needs a little work (tinned toms and unseasoned sausage would be a plus).
the restaurant meals are very good and well priced.
overall an excellent hotel that i wouldn't hesitate to recommend..

This hotel was booked as a last minute visit was required to Chatteris and the website pictures and good rating were factors used in choosing the Oliver Cromwell. Whilst some of the hotel is dated the staff and service were second to none and nothing appeared to be too much trouble. I will have no trouble in returning.

Only dropped a star 🌟 due we had a bit of fun finding the place. I mean it is signposted from the high st but still...anyway great rooms, 3 beds available, clean 👌 enormous bathrooms, great showers, balconies, friendly helpful staff...and I haven't come to the best bit yet..the breakfast! Done on a buffet basis the eggs, bacon, beans, tomatoes are all top quality, and replaced as soon 😋 as they run low...but I judge a breakfast by the sausages...and these were superb! Small'ish ..but if these are catering sausages I'm the tsar of all the Russias.

Great room on the end of the building with my car right outside. Lots of restaurants outside aswell as in the hotel

A great place to stay if you're in the area friendly and helpful staff large rooms we stay every year as a group of 20 middle aged fishermen and are always well looked after

Perfect, for £85 for a lovely spacious comfy double room with breakfast I was over the moon. Breakfast was fab, Supper was great and for two courses £16 and I couldn’t eat it all and very delicious. Customer Service was lovely.
Some of the decor is a little outdated but that doesn’t put but how pleased i am with the hotel.
Much better than a chain hotel like premiere inn.

Very reasonable price for a suite.
Not a 5 star but,
Clean, fresh and comfortable.
Bathrooms and lounge area clean.
Nice cold air con.
Walking distance to local amenities.
Loved the buffet breakfast. Again, fresh and hot.

the room was a good size and included a balcony which was a lovely touch. Breakfast was good and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The main reason for my 5/5 review is down to the great customer service of the staff, when I stayed here a week or 2 ago I stupidly managed to leave some clothes in my room. Luckily for me, the staff were very helpful and I was able to arrange my items to be sent by post. I am very thankful for this and I think this merits them an excellent review.

Lovely room , spotless. Amy on reception truly amazing! Helped me over and beyond in the frantic search of lost keys! Thank you ❤. My 3rd stay over last 5 yrs and each time the best choice made . Well done guys 👍

This hotel went above and beyond for my husband and myself when looking for a ground floor room at the last minute Staff so helpful and understanding. Will be back when in the area again THANK YOU.

Used the hotel to host our event & stayed the night as well. Was a lovely experience from the moment we enquired about booking to the moment we left the morning after. Staff were very attentive. Rooms comfortable. DJ & bar staff were great. Couldn't have asked for more.

Very efficient. Very friendly. Staff were helpful. Good range of whiskeys at a reasonably priced bar. Breakfast was good too. Paid extra for an executive sweet. Room was a pretty good size and we'll appointed.

Staff was absolutely brilliant couldn't do enough for you got in late and the night porter was really helpful and polite was really impressed and I want to thank him personally on this review definitely will stay again

My third and won't be my last visit great hotel great staff clean rooms bit outdated in some of them but still very nice breakfast has been great last 2 time but this visit very disappointed with it dry hash browns one of the issues must be new chef.

We stayed here last week, I love this hotel the reception staff in the evening are exceptional, it doesn't matter how late or how busy they are they really provide exceptional service , I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a hotel in march.

Extremely helpful staff and dining area spacious and well lit

Lovely friendly staff really pleasant nothing too much trouble. Clean room everything that you expect for a couple of nights stay. Lovely breakfast. Going to be going again next year for our yearly fishing trip.
