So glad we finally been able to visit! Waited 2 years. It's such a hidden gem. We visited on Saturday and it was very quiet - perfect for a relaxed calm afternoon with a fabulous weather. We stayed a good 3hours really explored all the walks which were enjoyable.

I know they have been closed for a while so hope they are able to get ontop of pruning and clearing some paths. The bird hide overgrown and the bridge over the lake very over grown and tricky walk but manageable. Mainly the Thorny bushes that can be dangerous.
I could hear Peacocks had no clue where they we're though 😆
Such a lovely place. And so close to home I can't wait to take my children as they get older.

A nice dog friendly garden to walk round... plenty just starting to florish (visited in spring)... a nice courtyard to sit and relax with a drink from the Potting Shed Cafe which served a fab ploughmans lunch!!

Will be back to visit as keen to see how the gardens look through the seasons!

Lovely walk around lake made better by lovely weather. Enjoyed the food fair in the courtyard. Great value for money if you have a couple of hours to spare.

Lovely gardens. Looking beautiful, especially around the lake! Saw the heron land in her nest to feed her young. Tulips looking smart just now too!

Very beautiful place with an excellent café. It has a bit of a secret garden feel to it, but it's full of character, features and very charming. On two occasions we visited it was very quiet.

Stopped for a quick coffee on way home from holiday. What a treat!, Lovely cafe with delicious vegan chocolate cake and treats for our dog. Walked around the kitchen garden and lake which are both beautiful and feel really.special. We even got to meet their one week old Peacock chick. Highly recommend and will always stop by when passing the area.

Lovely place to visit for a relaxing stroll around the beautiful grounds. The tea rooms serve the best coffee around and the cheese scone and cakes were absolutely delicious. You can also buy plants and gifts from the shop and in the lovely old building at the entrance
Rod has a lovely selection of home and garden furniture and other bits and pieces to beautify your home and garden.
A warm welcome made us want to go back, and we are looking forward to Pizza night Friday evenings from the 5 July 2019.

We didn't go around the gardens as we stopped off on route home from weekend away and just wanted lunch so my review is purely cafe based.

The food was to die for! We are all vegetarian and there was plenty of choice and everything we got was insanely delicious!! The vege tart was the best we have had, the cheese and chive scones were still warm out the oven. The brown sugar merginue with rhubarb coulis was fabulous.

The cost was slightly more than the average cafe but this was much, much better than the average cafe so worth every penny. Very friendly and helpful staff too!

Fantastic park, garden and lake. Beautiful and varied setting. Tranquil. Must visit. You can easily spend 2/3hrs by yourself or with the family.

Lovely cafe. Delicious food and a small vintage shop as well.

Plenty of parking. Charged £20ish for a family of 2 adults and 3 children. Worth every penny. Will highly recommend.

A lovely garden of different parts.
The ornamental area is a joy to wander through with numerous plants that provide a variety of fragrances colours and shade.
The wild garden further in is a real treat with numerous butterflies taking advantage of the plants. The odd statue popping up helps keep youngsters engaged.
Beyond into the fields and bird hide takes you out into the countryside and away from the madding crowd. Tranquality is easily found.
The ground staff should be applauded.
The cafe is a welcome place after a good wander and has something for everyone with helpful staff to boot.
