The Nags Head Inn

Me and my partner found this place through looking online. It is 100% 5/5 stars! we rang up querying booking a table. we were told we didnt need to book and could turn up. Thats what we did and we were seated straight away. The women that served us were very polite and always at service between courses. The prices are absolutely worth it! I would not say this is the usual pub grub, but absolutely stunning! we will definitely be returning if we are in the area again! :)

Lovely pub. Only stopped for a drink so can't review the food, but it looked and smelt amazing. The bar staff are lovely and very accommodating, and the atmosphere is wonderful.

We booked our table for 10 whilst on holiday. Although busy for lunch, we got a table for the evening instead. As soon as we arrived we were seated and drinks order taken. Our nephew needs gluten-free, all clearly explained on the menu. When our food arrived it was served by 3 people, all fantastic. Portions were very generous and everybody enjoyed their meals. The roasts were delicious! Thank you for your excellent service, fantastic food and great atmosphere.

While walking the Severn Way, along the Montgomery canal, we stopped for a dink at the Nags Head.
We had a dog with us, but the staff were very welcoming, found us some comfy seats and made sure we had what we needed.
A really great place to stop off while walking - I'm a bit sad as we'd already eaten so weren't able to partake of the delicious smelling food that was being served around us. Maybe next time...

Excellent food all 6 of us enjoy our evening and a special thanks to the waitress who found the charm off of a dropped bracelet she came out to the car park to find us so thank you*****

My husband and I have eaten here for at least 10 years however stopped two years ago, food was disgusting so was the service and cleaning.
BUT what has happened the food and service is now so good. So worth a visit. Staff are dedicated. 100% happy to return with my family and friends. Keep up the good work.

Our family of 12 went for Xmas dinner, with members of our family having various intolerances and one recently diagnosed as Type 1 diabetic.

Throughout Dec we had many phone conversations, emails etc to ensure everything went smoothly on the day, which it did.

On arrival we were greeted by the manager and shown to our table, all he meals were delicious and everything was served promptly and efficiently,

We had dinner on a Tuesday evening.
Good variety in menu. Portion size good despite going for smaller options.
Sea bass and Prawn linguine were excellent.
Modern twist on Eton mess - big enough for two people.

Room was very nice, the stand out was just how helpful and accommodating the staff were, they couldn’t have done more even though it was clearly end of shift! Thank you

Great place!! super welcoming friendly staff, superb value for money meals, warm family atmosphere, nothing is too much trouble, you would be missing out if you didn't visit, superb!!

Can highly recommend the pies. My wife and I had the chicken and leek pie with gravy today and it was amazing.

These are not shop bought they are made on the premises and it shows as they are crammed with delicious filling. The beef and staff are great too.

Knock out Sunday lunch! Hands down the best meal we've had in Wales this holiday. Awesome value for money, excellent selection, very attentive and experienced staff who know how to serve and interact, each course was fresh, tasty and plentiful. We now understand why booking was essential and no availability until 2.45! Well done to you all, kitchen and front of house. You have a fantastic place and you deserve every success!

Stayed overnight recently, lovely pub, excellent food, lovely room, very freindly staff, my only observation if I was being picky was the mattress, not that comfy, shame because everything else was spot on.

We came to try the restaurant this evening having the local beef burger it was genuinely the best burger I have ever eaten. The portions were good and the price was good especially considering the quality. The beer battered cod had a good crisp batter with perfectly cooked fish.

Had Sunday lunch here at 2.30 after being on a helicopter flight for my birthday. The meal was amazing and the staff were so lovely and helpful and they were so busy.
My partner says he has never had a Sunday lunch out as fantastic as that and we will be back very soon for sure

Delicious Sunday lunch.We hadn't booked,called in and chanced that they could accommodate us.They were fully booked,but they managed to squeeze us in at the bar,great food,lovely staff,definitely book next time!

Recently returned from a 2 night stay here. Was slightly concerned about the mixed reviews I had read but I need not have worried. The room was large and well equipped, spotlessly clean, white fluffy towels. We ate there the 1st night and food was amazing. Very attentive and friendly staff. Breakfast was so tasty and lots of choice. You are not near any other pubs or shops so driving around is a necessity. Loved our stay here.
