My wife bought some hiking shoes from there. This service was six stars, it was excellent. The use of new electronic scanning techniques, which recommends the shoes and sizes to best fit the foot worked very well. I recall the guys name was Tim who served us, he was superb, he was very experienced and didn't push my wife to buy anything. He gave her plenty of time and shoes to try. Overall the staff here really know what they are doing and its worth the visit.

All the staff were very helpful and Sylvan helped me with a good pair of walking shoes...Steve helped my wife with a product query over the phone. Stuart was knowledgeable, and Kyran helped out at the till point ..spent over £500 on good quality walking stuff....good solid brands....came out smiling....

Well stocked and welcoming store. Just about everything outdoor related equipment you could need to explore the local area. Good selection of boots, clothing of all types and styles, all well lit and presented. Knowledgeable staff available to give a dive if you need it.

They give discount to Blue Light Card holders.

There's no better place to buy boots, thanks to the helpfulness and knowledge of the staff. They go out of their way to ensure you get absolutely the right shoes for your feet. Highly recommended.

Staff always super helpful. Managed to buy two pairs of new boots and got some great help choosing. Can be pricey but some good deals to be had.

Great shop. The staff seem to love working at the store, they’re all outdoors people and are very knowledgeable about the kit they sell. They also have excellent local knowledge about walking and weather, so if they ask if you need any help say yes and get chatting.

Good selection of kit and a tempting selection of kit you didn’t think you needed and probably don’t, but end up buying anyway.

They have another shop half a click up the road that sells some lovely lifestyle but practical outdoor clothing.

All staff were very friendly and helpful, but would like to give special thanks to Lisa who went the extra mile! Lisa was so knowledgeable and experienced in helping even the most clueless customer (me) understand what I should be looking for in a good walking boot. Lisa had unlimited patience, and spent hours with me trying almost every boot in the store, with different filler and insole combinations. I cant thank Lisa enough for her guidance, understanding and good humour about it all! 100% recommend, based entirely on Lisas service :) My only comment is that unfortunately this store didnt stock many sizes outside of the norm. In my case womens size 9, or narrower mens shoes.

I just bought a pair of boots from here and the service was excellent. Mark took the time to find the perfect type and fit for my needs and my odd shaped feet and was a pleasure to talk to during the process. He even showed me how best to lace my boots for my foot shape which will definitely make a word of difference for future walking.
If you want to invest in a pair of boots that will be right for you, this is definitely the place to go!

Required a new waterproof jacket and trousers. Staff were helpful and located what I was looking for. One item was in the sale at a very good price. For the other item the staff member was able to provide a number of options meeting my requirements.

Been using this store and “Rock Bottom” for 10 years now. Always really helpful, knowledgeable staff. Dog friendly too. Impressive that they have managed to maintain consistently high service standards over a decade. Must really invest in their staff.

Husband purchased new walking boots for me. Sales assistant knew his stuff and learnt about tying boot laces and aftercare of boots. Husband also bought a rucksack. Staff knowledge was good about the products. Got blue light discount too.

I went here to buy a new pair of walking boots after my old ones failed, and the level of service was amazing. A proper fitting with detailed foot measurements, tons of advice from a lovely member of staff, very friendly and helpful. I now know how to lace my boots properly and look after them between walks. I'd go there again when I needed any equipment for walking and hiking.

We visited this shop 3 times during our week long camping trip to the area, and what a fantastic shop it is. The staff are amazing, so friendly and welcoming, and not afraid to start a conversation and give help where needed. The shop is dog friendly, and the staff welcomed our labrador with open arms. This is definitely a shop worth visiting for the product range as well as the staff. Shopping in there was a lovely experience.

Mark is very approachable and couldn't be more helpful throughout my visit, spending the time to talk and provide advise. He is also very knowledgeable on footwear. Thanks for the excellent service.

Excellent service from Lisa?, Despite not having an appointment. Listened to my requirements, talked through several alternatives. Tried a few pairs on even measured my feet and suggested a slightly smaller pair with a wider fit. Even ended up less expensive than original options. Definitely recommend. But suggest you book to avoid disappointment!

Very pleased with my purchases. Cotswold is an excellent reputable retailer. Purchased Scarpa walking boots and other items, was highly impressed by the customer service at the store, in particular Mark gave outstanding customer tailored service. All is well. Would buy again.

I was after a summer sleeping bag and went here to get some advice. The sales lady went through the options and found me just what I've was after. Thank you, I wish I got your name to thank you personally.
I also went back in because my mini stove broke on a hike. Another sales chap helped me choose a good one that wasn't expensive and suited my hiking needs.

The young lady give me very good advice when asked about accessories to go with my rucksack. Couldn't do enough to help.
