Great walk, dog friendly. We took the Dinas Emrys path by following the burgundy arrows. The route took just under 2 hours in total. It was much faster back down then going up. A bit slippy by the rocks but fine with appropriate footwear and just making sure we took our time. Only saw one other set of people. We started the walk at 830am back by 10:20ish. Only issue we has was National trust Cark park was coins or pay by phone and there was no signal on 3 or Vodafone. Set charge of £5.

We visited this site after a morning at the Sygun copper mine. There are a couple of paths marked in red and green on the map next to the car park. On the tracks you will find the corresponding green arrows but the other routes have various coloured markers which confused a couple of walking groups we came across. We followed the 1.5 mile green route with no problems. The scenery is stunning and was a lovely walk even if it did rain and hail on occasion! Thoroughly recommend it if in the area.

Tranquil walks through woodland and over the mountains with the occasional place to sit and rest. Some parts are harder for less mobile people but they are still manageable especially with some assistance.
There is a map and information boards in the building next to the toilets in the carpark and another map at the start of the trails but there were no handheld maps left when I went.

We did the moderate walk, it's a mile and a half and is mostly steep uphill. The views at the top are spectacular. The car park is good with loos. We did this with our two kids, six and ten.

A few lovely walks from here. Car park has toilet and donation slot if you want to contribute to maintaining the area. Was quiet and peaceful. Foresty and lovely views at the top.

We did the green walk, moderate climb at the beginning but beautiful views from the top. Boggy in spots still (May) and a couple of ladder stiles to be aware of if walking with dogs. Free car park with suggested donation box.

Beautiful little spot. Free parking, toilet and small information room telling you the interesting historical stories of the place.
There are some fantastic walks up to and around Dinas Emrys. We'll worth the visit and wonder. Absolutely stunning 😍

NT car park at Craflwyn House. It's a great location for starting a hike.
You can take various routes but take your time if you're not confident or as fit as you'd like to be.
The views are extremely rewarding. The people you'll meet along the way will be just as interesting and friendly.

Utterly amazing walk with gorgeous views. Free parking with toilets. Wear decent walking shoes as quite muddy and rocky. 3 different trails to choose from.

National trust area with free car parking (box for suggested £2 donation which we were happy to make). Some marked walking trails, we followed one described as moderate but it was more than strenuous enough for us - moderate in Snowdonia must be different to the flatter land we live near! Amazing views giving a good excuse to stop and get your breath back.

Gorgeous walk, the stiles are tricky for some dogs, but well worth it

I found this hiking area to be one of the most beautiful areas I've been to that encompassed such short walking distances.

Wonderful walks (from easy to hard) and beautiful scenery.

The copper mine is stunning and very interesting and not far to walk from here either.

If you take the black arrow route - please be aware you need a map and compass to complete the loop, as the arrows will just stop at some point, so you will have to follow it back on yourself if you don't have a map and compass.

I would recommend the cottages and converted stables nearby. Just be aware the mattresses in the covertednstables are a bit hard.

We had a great walk up yesterday. We took the green route. Easy to follow and outstanding views. Car parking is now £5 per day unless you have National Trust membership and requires payment via the ticket machine rather than previous “donations” in the box. Even the dog enjoyed the walk. Definitely a lot of “up” and boots would definitely be more suitable for the terrain.
