Although they pretty much stock everything the local or travelling angler would need.

Also gave some great advice on local marks and if you’re having issues with your gear. Like myself where I kept getting wind knots. Which with a bit of advice it sorted the problem.

I was visiting Borth-y-Gest for a week-long holiday and decided to take the fishing 🎣 tackle along. While the lures I initially used didn't yield many bites, I decided to pay a visit to Criccieth Tackle Box. The shop's owner was incredibly friendly and provided valuable assistance in selecting more effective lures from their well-stocked inventory. Upon returning to the beach for another round of spinning for bass. On just my third cast, I hooked and successfully landed a beautiful 4.5lb bass. 🐟 🤙👌

Could not recommend a better place to grab your fishing tackle , a great friendly service and full of advice , my partner wanted a new rod so she could get into fishing , the owner was very helpful giving her plenty of options to choose from. Myself I bought a new rod and once again he provided a brilliant service even dropping in some free lures for my partner. I would also recommend their eBay store 👍 brilliant !

Brilliant shop you have to go in to see how much of a brilliant lure selection they have in stock. Good advice to be had always they have everything for lure and bait fishermen has to be the best tackle
Shop in Gwynedd and Anglesey a must visit and they do mail order too.

This is one of the best fishing shops I have had the pleasure to visit. Russell is a great guy with a wealth of local knowledge. The shop has a diverse range of gear and you will not be disappointed. A must see attraction for any fisherman visiting the Lleyn Peninsula. ;-)

Great little shop full of everything you didn't even know you needed. Ask for a suggestion and you'll get shown 5 different ones at different prices, a wealth of knowledge and you won't have spent all your savings.

Excellent mail order service, called to check they had a reel I'd been unable to find in stock anywhere. They had one on the shelf, at a great price and it arrived the next morning. Faultless service, will use again.

The owner Russell recommend some lures and fitted some braid I purchased to my reel free of charge, filled me with confidence for catching a bass!

Brilliant, friendly service. This visit was on the recommendation of a hand made lure supplier, Jim's Lures.

If you are a lure angler do not miss the opportunity to visit this Aladdin's cave. I challenge you to walk out without buying something.

Next time we're up in Porthmadog we will definitely make another trip if only to say Hi, but I strongly doubt the VISA card will remain in my wallet

It's a brilliant shop,he's got everything you could ever need for fishing, he's really helpful telling you what bait is best and where is fishing well 👍👍if I ever need bait when I'm in the area I always go there 😀

What a great shop and knowledgeable and friendly staff , very helpful in choosing the right fishing gear for you. They will help you with the budget that you have to spend, and kit you out well.

I've have just left the shop with a smile on my face, and will be back there probably later today or tomorrow. There is so much tackle gear, you will be like a small child in a candy store.

So if you are on your holidays in Porthmadog, or surrounding towns, make sure you go the Tackle Box in Criccieth, you won't be disappointed great prices and friendly staff and lots and lots of nice quality tackle gear.

A great selection of tackle to cover all fishing needs (even the more unusual stuff like salt fly) Knowledgeable staff, dangerously enticing prices and friendly atmosphere. The shop is wife friendly (cafe opposite) so you can browse without fear ;)
