The Spooner was closed now at January,But still we had lovely evening walk around harbour and cold, frosty morning with beautiful sunrise.

If you like steam trains and you want to sit and watch them pull in and out with a tasty fresh cooked meal or snack you can't do better.

Managed to get a table, service was good, enjoyed our food so much so that we can back 2 days later for lunch.

Decent food and decent portions for the price. Very convenient for the trains. Enough tables and nice coffee. Good outdoor seating and a car park outside.

Great location for food & drink with friendly staff and plenty of outside seating right on the platform

We decided to eat here having been just for drinks on 2 previous occasions. The food was fantastic and the staff are so friendly.
My only negative is personally I thought the portion sizes were too big.
I think they could easily cut down a bit. I hate to see food go to waste.

What wonderful find. nestled at the Harbour Station end of the Ffestiniog Railway - Spooners! Went in for breakfast and there was a simple selection of meat and veggie choices. The Veggie breakfast with the Glamorgan Sauces star of the show was a great start to the day.. Latte was good and service warm and welcoming. Thankyou.

Lovely place, not really much on the menu for people like me with eating problems but I asked for something different and they couldn’t do more to accommodate when they had staff! Very friendly, good choice of beers and other drinks! Very friendly and helpful staff…looking forward to going back one day!

Lovely location, great food, great hot chocolate, reasonable prices, given what you get. The ham in the cheese and ham panini was top quality, thick cut ham. It more than filled me up.

Thoroughly recommend this cafe! The staff were very helpful, the food was amazing! Never been before, but will certainly go again when visiting the area. Really good portions, intact none of us were able to finish off our main course. Huge fish, and burgers!!

This was instead of trip to Snowdon due to not being able to get to the top. Alterations and railworks and no facilities halfway up. This was great trip by steam train part way around lake with enough time to visit slate museum afterwards. Scenery is spectacular with reflections of the mountains in the lake. Seats are wooden and hard so take a cushion if you can. Didn't eat there.Loved the trip

Wonderful cafe attached to the Ffestiniog Railway Station. The coffee was good and sustained me throughout my visit. The staff maintained their composure throughout, something I'm not sure that I'd be able to do,especially with the Karens from America whining and complaining about everything. For it was a pleasant retreat where I could sit to upload my photos from the day's shoot.

Possibly the best cafe I've ever been to. Not only do they serve great coffee (and cakes, sandwiches etc)*, but you're treated to a variety of steam engines passing by on the platform!

* I'm pretty sure they do Sunday lunches too, but check before setting off!

A gem in the middle of porth, couldn’t fault the food, it was absolutely delicious, I had the steak burger and my partner had the steak, burger was so flavourful and juicy, and his steak was cooked perfectly. Limited menu would be my only critique. But I’m not sure if they update there menu regularly. Will definitely be back.

We only had drinks, although food that we saw being served looked very nice. Drinks are a great price considering it is location and aimed at tourists.

Didn't have food but just had a drink however it was extremely pleasant and well positioned at the side of the railway station with good views and to be honest a very welcomed cold beer! Although we didn't eat I saw quite a lot of food coming out and it looked very tasty while presented and plenty of empty plates going back so I assume it's all good.
The only critique was acute with nobody behind the bar for around five minutes but I would soon resolved and the cube went down quickly

Really excellent cafe and bar. The other half was "hangry" when we walked in, she left happy and well refreshed. Some might be put off by the price of a large full English breakfast here (8.95) but for the amount of food you get and the quality, it's a bargain! So eat well and make her happy!!
