About the only thing I like about Brighton. For some reason (I expect it's students) it's more welcoming with better offers 👍whenever visiting Brighton (still got family there) we always pop in, about the only parking in town that's convenient and FREE we can shop have a coffee 😁

Was doing my weekly shop at sainsbury’s yesterday and was served by I think jade? Absolutely amazing cutsomer service always got a smile on her face. It’s a pleasure coming into this shop. Keep up the good work guys.

Moved to Brighton last year and I love the convenience of everything but one thing the area does lack are big supermarkets for weekly shops, rather than a couple of express items

Always been a "Tescos man" for as long as I can remember, but the Hove Superstore is an absolute trek from home and has an odd layout/missing a lot of items

So I gave Sainsbury's a go and is consistently good - lots of selection, clean, airy and with friendly staff. Items remain fresher for longer than Tesco's (I believe - things like fruit, fish, meat). The layout is solid and makes sense - lots of variety, Asian/European food, freshly baked goods, sushi etc.

Accessibility wise it's in a good location, too - it's less than 5 minutes from Brighton train station - it's down a set of steps but there is a lift available. There are also ramps that lead to the main and back entrance to help for those that need it, too

Definitely a gem in Brighton and great for that weekly shop :) Now a Sainsbury's convert!

I know that this branch recently closed for a month for renovations or refurbishment but it must have been something structural or in the warehouse because the store itself appears to be exactly the same to me..!!

Massive Sainsbury's with a lot of choice, from food to home goods. Having this supermarket so close to my house is amazing but opening times are a bit strange. Would love for it to be open later than 8pm (and 5pm on Sundays). Otherwise super convenient

Much bigger and better than it might appear from the outside. This is a great medium-sized Sainsbury's near the station. Just wish it was open after 8pm. Feels like a little early to close.

Didn't shop left it to other half (inBrighton) who said it was large and comprehensive, I was personally pleased that the planners had placed the conveniences conveniently close to the entrance or exit which ever way,( bit of an unwellness day)

Good standards as expected from a store of this ilk. The main criticism that l have though is in respect of the male toilets which although always clean have a nauseating smell of urine which is most unsettling. There is obviously a drainage issue which really needs looking into by the management in my opinion !
Recently visited this store again and am pleased that the toilet odour issue seems to have been now rectified !

Managed to purchase all the items I went shopping for.
Good quality fresh veg and also speciality dairy free cakes and other items for my daughters packed school lunch which I find difficult to find elsewhere.
These specific products from sainsburys 'free from' range are easily and clearly labelled, enabling a confident purchase without having to read through every ingredients list on every product !
The checkout staff was very friendly and caring!....she could tell I was not having a good day! She was lovely!
On the whole a very good experience and easy shop at a difficult time in my personal life. It absolutely made all the difference in a very good way to my day!

Expensive but worth the extra

My favourite Sainbury's store as it used to be where I shopped for essentials. The staff are always there to assist you. Great choice of produce, can be a bit expensive on homeware! The layout of the store is good, it's easy to navigate around.

They've got a wide variety of items but I was left surprised when I couldn't get a particular variety of coffee I wanted. Despite this, the facility is quite appealing to the eye and a great place to quicky do some grocery shopping

Always great - if you just stick to the offers its worth shopping and you can save a lot on good brands - tonnes of different types/ brands of dairy free/ vegan milks. Dvd offers and season household/ gift section is often in sale too for things like Christmas, Easter, Halloween..even costumes for school book day!
