Castle House Hotel

We stayed here as part of a wedding party. The hotel is very well located in the city and on the river, with stunning rooms and really helpful staff. The breakfasts were excellent as well. Would highly recommend this hotel.

My nephew, his partner and myself enjoyed coffee and cake on the terrace of this gorgeous restaurant/ breakfast room.
The sunshine was perfect as we enjoyed the ambience and tranquility sitting right near the pond, looking out to The Fosse.
The lady serving us inside was very polite and pleasant.
The coffee was very good and my nephew and partner declared the rhubarb cake absolutely perfect.
I don’t know why it took me so long to enjoy coffee here amongst the tranquility- it was the first time we had enjoyed the terrace.

Castle House is a regular place to visit for a quiet drink or to take friends.
The garden bar is delightful, with wonderful staff.
For a peaceful oasis to have a drink I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Such an elegant hotel!!! First rate quality and attention to detail. Breakfast out on the patio is relaxing. Perfect way to start the day.

Sterling Networks Hereford Breakfast was launched here and the room for the event was fantastic, we we well looked after by all the staff on duty. Really friendly and helpful which made our event so easy to manage.

Absolutely loved this hotel, check in was fast and friendly, the bedrooms are really nice and spacious with lots of little extras. My bathroom was a little dated but it didn't spoil the experience whatsoever as the products where nice and the whole hotel has a great vibe. Such a shame they don't serve evening meals but they do lunch and afternoon teas. Breakfast was good quality and very enjoyable.

Had a 2 night stay here and what a wonderful hotel it is. We couldn’t have asked for more. Staff were fantastic, polite and service at breakfast was excellent. Nothing was a problem. Our room was beautiful, made even better by the complimentary sherry, homemade biscuits and other little snacks that made that little bit of a difference. Location is superb with the town centre less than a 2 or 3 minute walk. The Cathedral is just at the end of the road. Breakfast itself was superb with everything sourced locally. The hotel itself is elegant, full of character and charm. In short we loved our stay here and will definitely be coming back. 😃😃😃

Wonderful central hotel with all you need - friendly staff - very clean and nice touches in the rooms - coffee cafeteire, orange juice.
Really worth a stay

This is a lovely hotel; friendly staff and beautiful setting. Only minor niggles stop me giving 5 stars across the board and that is the lack of a soap dish for the bath and shower (first world problem of having to remember to move the soap from the basin if showering or bath); pillows are not the best. However plentiful hot water with good water pressure, bed is comfortable. Love the fresh milk in the fridge and the water. Lovely touch with the sherry and biscuits. Lovely breakfast menu.
Would have been nice to have been able to get an evening meal here as the dining room is lovely.

Fantastic afternoon tea to celebrate my mums birthday. Attentive and friendly staff. Delicious food, great selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones.

Dropped in for lunch and was super impressed by imaginative menu and quality of food. It was like fine dining at lunch time but at a very reasonable price. Especially loved the foamed goats cheese starter.

We went for afternoon high tea. The food was excellent and the service to. We had a very enjoyable afternoon watching the wild life through the window.

We have just had the most and I say most delicious Sunday lunch I have had for years. I had lamb delicious, mum had beef equally delicious home made Yorkshire pudidimgs, 6 vegetables served in dishes civilized proper gravy, with extra served in a boat. Followed by panacotta with a blood orange syrup OMG and ginger biscuit. Fantastic table over looking the water. Service was excellent amazing we will be back thank you made it very special.

Great staff that never stop working to enhance a great place. Good food, spotlessly clean in both the rooms and the public areas. A wonderful place to stay.

We went for lunch on my wife's birthday. Service was exemplary and the food devine. We chose from their fixed price lunch menu (as of Dec 23). Superb. What their a la carte menu is like, I can only imagine if this was their "basic" offering. Highly recommended.

If you're going to spend £3 on a coffee you might as well do it in wonderful surroundings.

My husband our dog met friends there. We sat in a lovely garden overlooking the duck pond. The seating was very comfortable. The staff were lovely friendly and very obliging. We had a lovely time would definitely go there again even though it was a bit pricey.
