A Basing Bakes

We've tried several of Helen's fabulous pies and they are the most delicious gluten free pies you will find anywhere .... in fact, they are so good that you won't even know you are eating something gluten free! The pastry is tasty with just the right amount of crispness and the fillings are generous with wonderful flavour. If you are coeliac or have to eat gluten free, you are in for a real treat - Helen works magic in her kitchen.

Picked up some goodies from Romseys Food Market on a Sunday after my husband found them online. Very happy with the food I picked up! The lemon cake was absolutely incredible, better than any normal lemon cake I've had (non-GF hubby confirmed) and the chicken & leek pie was beautiful. The shortcrust was LIGHT and the filling had high quality shredded chicken, tons of it.

10/10 experience, we made a special trip out for this and plan to again next week for the Winchester market. Yum!

I met A Basing Bakes at the Romsey Market. I've recently gone Gluten and Dairy free which feels such a bore! Their chicken pies looked amazing so I purchased 4, half expecting the usual solid hard GF crust that you get with other homemade bakes but I was so wrong. They are delish! Crumbly, soft pasty, absolutely melt in the mouth and buttery tasting like a proper shortcrust should be!! I'm so glad I have another 3 in my freezer! Perfect for me as a busy Mum and business owner. 100% recommend!

Picked up two of their pies on a whim at the Winchester farmers market and really glad we did - absolutely delicious!

THE BEST GLUTEN FREE FOOD I'VE EVER EATEN. Recently bought a whole selection of pies, cakes and other delights at Stockbridge and Romsey Food Fair. Coeliac since birth, nothing compares, much better than a certain Hampshire competitor.

The best gluten free products. I love that the apple pie is not only gluten free but also dairy free. They’re the perfect size for one person and remind me of the McDonald’s apple pies I used to get as a kid. Can’t believe they were able to replicate that taste in a gluten free, dairy free treat.

They rotate between area farmers markets but I’ve only purchased from A Basing Bakes at the Winchester market. I only wished they were there more often as they’re my favorite vendor. I’ve since moved back to the US and really miss those apple pies. Even if you eat gluten you’ll be extremely impressed as their products are amazing.

Adore everything I get from them! Delicious gluten free pastry fulfilling all my cravings for pies, sausage rolls, scotch eggs, and custard tarts!

Excellent range of gluten free foods both sweet and savoury. Highly recommended.
