Good exceptional, service exceptional even the pre-service (multiple phone calls!) Was exceptional.
Couldn't fault a thing. Highly highly recommend.
Had the vegan sausage and bean pie and was delish. Husband had the 8oz steak. Was delicious.
Recommend reading their "about us" blurb on the website. Exactly as described.

Superb locally run and independent pub, serving carefully and expertly selected local, independent and craft beers and ales - a true testament to a Great British Pub.

I had a wonderful experience and this was topped off with a delicious, hand made and fresh £10 burger that was absolutely delectable with every last bite.

I found this pub on a whim looking for a place to eat before a long drive home, I ended up spending most of the evening here, no regrets at all!

The manager had no tables to serve me to eat but assured me I would be fed and allowed me to eat in the bar section of the resraurant, at all times I was looked after and every detail was catered for, I was very grateful for being able to be served as a walk in customer and it was lovely to see such a small pub bustling with locals

The bar staff had superior knowledge of his beers and was able to guide me to the perfectly pallatable pint for my tastes, very courteous and even remembered my name when ordering a second time. You just dont get this kind of service at any old pub. Absolutely, 110% recommend. Please visit if in the Farnham or surrounding areas. You. Will. Not. Regret. It.

Went for burger night the other day, £10 a meal i believe it was. Food was so nice, best burger i have had in ages. Staff were all friendly. Not being a pub connoisseur i wasn't sure what beer to have and the guy (i think he had dreads) was very helpful and patient with me whilst i decided.

We visited the Alfred for a Sunday roast based on a recommendation. They are only serving food at the pub until Dec 3rd but everything about the food will be missed. The portion size with sides is brilliant and the service very friendly.

Fantastic range of beers for a nice little pub perfect place to come relax and enjoy a pint or a light snack would highly recommend

I really wanted to give you all a good pictures before I devoured this amazing burger! All of their burgers here are amazing and I will try all of them! They have them in beef chicken and veggie option with some vegan as well. Friendly staff and good local people! Come and have it a go!

Very small with limited parking but Oh My God, what a place for beer and food. Nowadays all restaurants charge high prices and the quality of food you get in return is pretty poor. Not here….the beers are fantastic with a great range, if you like ales then this is the place for you. The food is stunning and I mean out of this world good, all cooked fresh and to order. I had the 8oz filet steak and it was melt in your mouth good. Perfect, best I have ever had. I cannot recommend this place enough. All the staff are extremely welcoming and accommodating. Just go there, you won’t be disappointed.

Friendly pub. Excellent range of cask and keg craft beers, that regularly change. Can't comment on the food as I have not tried.

Went for Sunday lunch. The staff were very nice and went out of their way to help with parking/wheelchair access for the more infirm folks in our party.

Sunday lunch was huge - £21 for one meat through to £25 for 3, but with a lot of trimmings so you probably only need one course. Tasty too.

The atmosphere is not fancy/gastropub style - more like a traditional boozer.

Beer range looked good but i didn’t try due to driving duties.

My Local. Great staff running the place. Brilliant beers. Fabulous burgers. Love it.

Update: Another fab evening at The Alfred. Their Prawn Cocktail with Stilton is soooo good. Friendly staff too.

Wonderful lunch: tasty and fresh ingredients, excellent lamb shank, delicious and original hamburgers. Service was excellent with kind and warm waitress and owner. Prices were very fair given the quality. You can’t go wrong with this restaurant. Thank you very much, we will definitely come back!

Family run freehouse with a superb, ever changing range of beers served by friendly knowledgeable staff. Food is superb too at reasonable prices. I just wish I lived closer!
Update: Oct 2022, beer range even better, still a great pub where conversation, beer and food is key.

Just come back from a family meal and cant begin to say how impressed we all are. The staff and the service was impeccable! (we were served by a person with glasses tonight 19/04). The food was outstanding, you can tell they use real quality ingredients!!! I can not wait to visit again and would recommend this amazing pub to anyone!!

The Alfred does the BEST roast! We went today and the food was delicious, the portions were more than generous, and the staff were very friendly. We didn't have to wait long for our food to be served and it came out hot and fresh. We can't believe we haven't been here before a roast, and we'll 100% be coming back very soon! The red wine was also of high quality and at the right temperature which made a change! 5*****

My girlfriend booked a table here quite last minute. And if I'm honest I am so glad she did. The food is excellent, I had a roast pork and it was delicious... but the beers these guys have available in unreal.. coupled with the service this is an awesome pub...
