Brilliant Sunday lunch with family. The food was excellent... one of the best Sunday lunches I have had in a long time (not including my stepmother's).
Excellent seasonal produce, beautifully cooked. Absolutely loved it, thank you!

Just had the most delicious Sunday lunch served by a great team at The Village Pub. The staff were so helpful and nice, we were made to feel very welcomed. Enjoyed some good wine and excellent lunch. So nice to find somewhere where everything ticked all the boxes. Thank you.

Just popped in for lunch following a week in the Cotswolds . I’ve been to other Pigs in the south west where I live so was interested to see what their new venture into pubs was like. We weren’t disappointed . The food was the usual high Pig standard with a totally different menu and extremely reasonable pricing. The staff were fantastic and ironically the lady looking after our table used to work at the Honiton pig where I’ve been many times. She was extremely helpful and clearly a credit to the firm. The hotel opens up the road in September and we’ll definitely give that a go!

My partner and I made the absolutely bonkers decision to walk from Ampney Crucis to this very lovely pub. We didn't pack water and were both dehydrated by the time we arrived.

The staff were very friendly, sat us down, gave us a bottle of water straight away. Without us asking and then served us our drink order.

We felt so welcome and cherished by the staff here.

Also Google sucks because it told us this pub was still "The Boot" and it had closed. We almost went back home after walking for about 30 minutes.

Very welcoming. Staff were excellent, menu was superb and the atmosphere was fantastic on a lovely sunny Sunday. Even without a reservation they made space for us and were incredibly accommodating for our family of 4. The food was exceptional and the whole experience was just what we were looking for. Will definitely be back and recommending as the pub to go to!

I first went to The Boot in June and had the best lamb I have ever had. Unfortunately the beef wellington was sold out. I waited 6 months to have the beef wellington and it was worth the wait! Best beef wellington I have ever had. The Boot is honestly on the top of my list of Cotswold restaurants and we have been to most of them. Highly recommend! The staff is also really lovely!

I didn't stay in a room. But had the beef wellington. Amazing flavour. Perfectly cooked beef. And the boot shaped pastry cut-out to top it off was a nice touch. It was clear they take pride in the dish.

The menu says it serves 2 but the portions could have served 3 adults.

What a wonderful experience! Great food & drinks and top class service from start to finish. We visited The Boot on 05 July ‘23 for lunch whilst on holiday and will definitely be returning when next in the area. Your friendly & professional staff are a credit to you; please pass on our thanks to the floor & bar staff for making our visit so enjoyable.
Kind regards
Louise

We recently ate Sunday lunch at The Boot and I have to say that the roast pork was one of the best I’ve had in many a meal. The service was really good and will be going back to try the rest of the menu. Congratulations.

Food was great. My family and I dined here twice over the weekend and between us we had the majority of the menu. All the courses were exceptional. Price is very reasonable for the quality. Lovely location. Staff were all very nice and service was great.

Went on a Saturday evening and can't rate it highly enough. Arrived for 6pm and had a high back velvet chair that was the best thing to unwind in and enjoy the food.
Went for Salmon starter, Venison Pie for main and amaretto pudding for dessert.
All were superb but the Pie was another level good.
My other half had the steak and that to was cooked perfectly.
Great service, cozy, friendly folk and very well priced given the setting.
Highly recommend for a date night or special occasion.
100% will visit again

Recently had dinner at The Boot while visiting the Cotswolds and had a great experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant is so cozy and the food was delicious. My wife and I split the beef wellington and it was delicious. If you are near Barnsley you should consider having a meal at The Boot!

Took family there to see the new interior design and layout and had a great meal for 5. Beef Wellington was superb and wife had the venison pie also superb. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Felt like home from home. Love the beer and it’s served in a good old fashioned Tankard!

What a wonderful restaurant in a small cotswold village location. We have tried on a few occasions to have a meal here, when passing by, only to be offered an apology due to them being fully booked, and now I know why. A stunning place with superb quality of food that is seasonally and locally sourced. This will most definitely be a restaurant to return to with a recommendation of phoning first to make a booking.

Lovely pub. The guy who served us was really nice, super chatty and so funny, he definitely needs some kind of raise!! (didn't catch his name but he had an accent). We got there just before the lunch time kitchen shut but still served us a wonderful couple of desserts. Would 100% go again if we was in the area

The manager is super nice, he found us a table even though it’s fully booked. We’re super grateful. Every dish is very tasty, we had the artichoke soup, the beef Wellington and stick toffee pudding. We simply couldn’t stop eating!

What a wonderful pub. From the moment we stepped in we felt so welcome by the man behind the bar. Place was exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. Real character. Service was fantastic by the women that served us all so friendly and helpful particularly with my husbands intolerances and even had gluten free bread complimentary. Food was fantastic great portions and really tasty. Really good choices even at lunch time. Excellent soft drinks menu as well as alcoholic. Would definitely go out of our way to return and recommend to family and friends. Thank you.

A quality pub/restaurant. We have eaten twice before. Can recommend the burgers!!...that the chef kindly cooked for us last minute before the kitchen closed. Very friendly and helpful staff.
