Visited on Mother’s Day Evening with just Mum and I - had a lovely meal and Natasha looked after us really well, making sure we had all we needed. It always makes a difference when you are treated with kindness and care - Thank you Natasha. I was a little worried we were late in the day, but everything tasted fresh and all our choices were available. Mum was happy too so a good experience overall.

The service was excellent. The host is friendly, the bar area is relaxing and our server, Rosie was friendly and attentative. We ordered garlic cheesy bread and chorizo to start and chicken schnitzel as our mains. The food was piping hot, delicious and the service was excellent. Thanks for making my birthday celebrations even more special. Thanks Rosie.

Neve was our server and I was very impressed by her attention to my gluten free allergy and making sure I had what I needed and I clearly understood my options. I was very impressed and appreciative of her service.

We've eaten here a few nights now as we are staying here and can't fault anything. Tonight we were served by Natasha who is lovely and gracious hostess!! She was very sweet enough to help my son on the Easter egg hunt.

Booked as was given a birthday voucher and fancied somewhere not been and so glad we decided on here. Did book on the morning and glad we did as obviously a very popular choice. We arrived half an hour early but certainly not a problem as shown straight away to our table which was absolutely perfect and very cozy considering it was a bit nippy outside. Drinks order taken straight away along with food order as we had already checked the menu for vegan options. Drinks arrived soon after and after a quick chat and taking in beautiful surroundings, so did our food. Nothing too much trouble, food and service great. So glad we decided to go and will definitely return, maybe even book a room and try whiskey menu. Fully recommend!

Came her with some friends and the atmosphere and food was great. The waiting staff (Neve) were great and attentive, we will definitely come again.

Enjoyed my Lovely Banoffee Choux Bun this evening... Delicious.! Served by a Lovely waitress Natasha. Who went above and beyond making sure we were all well looked after during our visit.

Lovely Sunday lunch. Michelle was very pleasant and helpful in checking allergens. The children’s menu had a lot of options and the portions were quite generous too!

Parking excellent, doggie treats, water bowls a welcome sight.
Had roast dinner superb, had the shared cheese dip, would have liked a little more bread, 2 slices each not enough 3 or 4 would have been better.
Shame they have spoilt the fireside with the facade spoils what could be a gorgeous brick fireplace.
Overall if back in the area would return.

I came in for lunch and after having friends recommend the Dun Cow I thought why not give it a try. The food was amazing I had the hunters chicken and the brownie and safe to say I was stuffed. Our server Hannah was lovely and polite and catered for all our needs and was a true delight to meet as she helped keep my daughter entertained, would recommend to others.

Lovely traditional style publuc house with a wide variety if beverages. Only disappointment was on ordering a hot drink the promised buttery flapjack was unavailable and only advised when questioned after paying and no alternative offered.

Zsolt was magnificent, very charming and made sure we were topped up with drinks, our food arrived promptly and he came to check on us to make sure it was good enough to our tastes

met here for a family reunion for 5 and had a lovely Sunday lunch

it was extremely busy (just before 2pm) so the service was a little bit slow

Only went there for a quick lunch . Only lived here 2 year . From essex. So don't know anywhere very well . Food was fantastic . Will come again thank you

Came here for dinner with colleagues food was good, really pleasant vibe. Colleague has dietary requirements Neve was really knowledgeable and attentive super friendly.

Our waitress Mollie was very kind to us and chatty as well which made us feel welcome. She accommodated us because we had a baby which was incredibly kind. The food was really nice and came out at in a timely manner. Would recommend to our friends.

Natasha our waitress was excellent, she couldn’t do enough for us. Food was great, we had a really good evening.

Went for a Birthday lunch, food was good. Sat in the "dog friendly" area. Pleasant surroundings steeped in history. Good price for fixed lunch.
