For my current place I worked with Thea who was a pleasure to work with, she was flexible regarding viewing times and was extremely dilgent with her follow up to my multiple questions. I recently rented a new flat through Steven Oates and the lettings team are fantastic. Not only are they very professional and responsive, but they also treat you as a human being, not just another transaction. It was a very difficult process for a number of reasons, and there is no exaggeration when I say it was probably only because of the lettings team that I managed to stay sane throughout. I spoke to a few members of the team during the different parts of the process, and they are all wonderful, but Thea was my main point of contact and she went above and beyond, something for which I am very grateful. It made all the difference.

I was the tenant of a property managed by Steven Oates while in between properties (as well as being a Landlord of a separate property, so seeing both sides).

The tenancy was managed extremely well throughout the whole process, moving in and out as well as arranging any required maintenance items or routine visits. Everyone I spoke to was helpful and extremely polite. We only wish we had let our property through Steven Oates and not another agent as Steven Oates’ service was such a contrast to other agents we have dealt with.

Whether a Landlord or prospective tenant, I’d recommend them.

Anyone who has sold/bought knows it can be a complicated process and Lisa ‘hand held’ us through with care, attention and humour. She is a wonderful person to have on your side when selling/ buying and nothing is too much trouble. We dealt with Lisa Purdy. She was brilliant from the off. She says it as it is! Nothing dressed up, just talks like normal but extremely professional she is! Sold our house in no time at all. Even though our solicitor was not the fastest. In fact I asked her for a recommendation of a solicitor to help finish our procedure and she recommended an equally professional person that was totally on it! I can t say enough. So pleased and would highly recommend.

Picking an estate agent when selling your home can be tricky, as most seem to turn up to view your house and make empty promises with a clip board in hand… yet you have to choose which one you trust more and believe will actually deliver on those promises.
Sam at Steven Oates left no doubt in our minds from the moment he viewed our property that we would be in safe hands.
Sam was extremely proactive throughout the process and was always on hand to answer any questions or queries along the way. I now see why Steven Oates are the biggest and most accomplished Estate Agents in the area, as they were simply brilliant throughout and have restored our faith in ‘sales’ people!

Thea and Sophie in the lettings team are fantastic. I had an issue with another agent in Hertford who worked with a landlord who let me down on a rental just 8 days before moving in, the girls stepped in and helped me find a property which I have been successful with. I highly recommend Steven Oates if you want to buy or sell a house. In particular Lisa Purdy was instrumental in what was a very stressful house purchase. We had probate and land registry issues and Lisa's daily communication and transparency throughout the process was a godsend! Professional, approachable and gets the job done!! That's what we got with Lisa and the team!
