About seven years ago, I stayed here a few times and I’ve never wrote a review. A few months ago, whilst driving back from Cardiff to head back to Aberdeenshire, I stopped at the Holiday Inn express in Burnley. As a IHG platinum member, I was really impressed with the high-level of customer service. Staff were very helpful, polite and extremely friendly. I wasn’t expecting such amazing staff, they did go above and beyond.

The room itself was pretty good, unlike other Holiday Inn Express hotels, this one had an iron in the room and a desk area to catch up on work. The bed was very comfortable and I had a decent sleep.

The breakfast, which is free was very decent, and they gave me a vegan option, which again I didn’t expect.

The bathroom had a power shower, which was great. The hotel is in a nice quiet location and is very peaceful.

I highly recommend this hotel any day and if I need to stop off in the future, I will definitely be staying here. It was a delightful and pleasurable stay. I definitely got a warm Lancashire welcome.

Hotel was clean. Rooms were in good condition. Breakfast is typical holiday inn express. Powered eggs bacon sausages. The main issue I had was with checking out early charging full night stay. Checked out at 7am never had na issue at any other holiday inn or expresses. Especially when booking on a corporate rate.

Just returned from a two night stay at the hotel and couldn't fault it. The staff were amazing. Made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The hotel shared areas, bedroom and ensuite were all spotless. The buffet breakfast was well stocked and a good temperature. As for location, the hotel is right next to the motorway so expect some traffic noise. It is about a 30 minute walk into the town centre but less than 10 minutes by car. We returned from a night out in a pre-booked taxi and it cost £6.50. This was our forth visit to Burnley in the past year and by far the best hotel we have stayed in. We won't book anywhere else in future and will certainly be returning in May.

I have just spent the night here with a caladinion trip, I let them know in advance I was gluten free, and to be honest I wasn’t expecting much, so I took lots of snacks and some gf pot rices, it I was so surprised, the manager who was an amazing young lady, came to talk to everyone who had dietary requirements, I have like a steak stew, veg and chips, I was assure they used gf gravy and the chips had a separate fryer, it was delicious, oh and soils to start and she got me some gf bread as well, we were served at the table while everyone else had to line up. We got back to our room and it was super cold and our phone didn’t work, so I popped down to reception, she came back up with me and had a look at our heating, as it was cold she supplied us with a plug in heater as well, I was absolutely blown away by the customer service. Then at breakfast there is a list of all of the foods and what they contained, but also what you can get cooked gf for order, again the staff were amazing.

What a lovely experience staying at this hotel. All the staff were brilliant. They were very professional but friendly and very helpful. The food was absolutely lovely, especially breakfast and the 24/7 menu.
The room was comfortable, quiet and dark enough to sleep well. Unfortunately, on the last night the Air Conditioning Unit noise kept waking us up during the night. Also, the lift broke down on our last day, and walking up to the third floor was very difficult and probably impossible for some people. I can't believe such a big hotel hasn't got two lifts!!!
Overall, a very pleasant experience and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again if we visit Burnley. The walk along the canal into Burnley is very pleasant too.

Excellent stop over for a couple of nights whilst working local. Clean, modern and as a holiday inn, you know what you are getting. Food was decent too.

Quite pleasant for a night or couple of nights stay over. Pleasant surroundings nice evening meals if wanted but not overly impressed with the breakfast nowadays they need a little umph put in to them, the bacon, sausage etc always looks dreary, other than that good value overall.

Great location and staff but let down by noisy air conditioning, even when told staff was informed to turn fan speed down but noise didn't change. Not the best sleep as had to switch it off and cold room in winter

Very impressed by this hotel, especially for the price we paid. Staff were very welcoming and helpful, the hotel was spotless and tables were cleared and cleaned immediately customers left. The evening meal was very good, we both had the Cumberland sausage ring and mash. Great quality. The cooked breakfast was exceptional value and the croissants were perfect. This is a great hotel.

The lift was broken we were on the first floor with a small elderly dog. I am disabled and couldn't get down the stairs. A lady who was coming downstairs offered to bring my dog down for me, and on the back up the Receptionist offered to carry him upstairs for me. I cannot thank all the Staff enough, they all went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay at their Hotel. Thankfully the lift was working when we were checking out the next day.

Fab hotel, in a great location. Staff were super friendly. Rooms were so clean and spacious. Bed was really comfy and it was nice and quiet. Only issue was, there wasn't much of a vegan or vegetarian option at breakfast, except for beans and scrambled egg. But overall, 10/10

Very comfortable modern hotel. Friendly staff. Went on a Caledonian Travel break with dinner & breakfast included. Both excellent. Dinner service tightly regulated, I assume to manage portion sizes, but this probably only happens with coach parties. Service good. Room comfortable with all facilities. Good wifi. Hotel was rather cool throughout- maybe saving money on the bills! Room warm enough - heating controls took some figuring out. Location is handy for the motorway (hotel is right beside it and you can hear it even though there is good glazing). It is just outside Burnley town centre down a fairly isolated side road. Quick access to the town via the nearby canal towpath, but this might not always be the safest route. Enjoyed the stay and would return. Thank you.

Easily the cleanest hotel we have stayed at. Staff were friendly and helpful. From the welcome smile on our arrival to the moment we left we felt we were valued guests. We ate one evening meal and found the food was served very hot and had attentive staff. We will return as we thought the whole experience was exceptional. Parking is easy and bays are clearly marked.

Daisy Communications had a sales conference and the majority of our sales team members stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Burnley. The hotel staff were great with the service exceptional.
My room was spacious, clean and very tidy. First class service as always. Thank you.

For 79 pounds myself and two children stayed overnight here and had breakfast included.
Free WiFi and parking. The rooms were immaculately clean and tidy as was the whole hotel. The shower worked very well.

Check-in and out was easy. Staff accommodated a few additional requests for our stay and I really cannot fault the hotel for the price paid!

I visit Burnley frequently and in future this will be my chosen hotel when on a budget!
