We had an incredible stay at The White Lion hotel in the new Hardcastle boutique room. The staff were so attentive from start to finish and went above and beyond to spoil us and make our stay amazing!
The room was so beautiful with many amenities and smelt really lovely. We had a lovely evening meal and drinks in the restaurant; there's a great selection of drinks and a brilliant food and cocktail menu. Breakfast was so lovely too with plenty of options, we were so full!
We've been for drinks a few times previously but will definitely be back to stay! Thank you for an amazing stay which was so needed!

What an absolutely perfect stay at The White Lion, this hotel is a beautiful very old hotel and pub with loads of character! We loved the sloping floors in our room and the corridors. Our room was lovely, very modern and clean. We visited on a Thursday so we managed to get a parking spot ok at the rear of the building and there was no rush to move the car the day after. Our room included breakfast with a choice of a few different options with drinking included. We also had a few drinks at the pub too which was spot on and the staff can't do enough for you. Great stay!

White Lion is a lovely place. It has a relaxed atmosphere, and the service was top-notch.
The food was delicious. I ordered the haddock and chips. The haddock was delicious, and the batter was very crunchy 😋.
The chips were not exactly what I expected. They were thicker than thick .l found myself slicing them into smaller buts. Way too much potato.
Our dogs were made extremely welcome, except one miserable customer who was rude about the pups (not the fault of the business )

A lovely bar and restaurant, I would highly recommend

Absolutely lovely and very handily placed. Breakfast was huge and food delicious! Bit of a lack of atmosphere in the restaurant of an evening but we only ate there the once. Delicious fish and chips.

We came here while we waited for our train and had no idea it would be such a wonderful place! Gorgeous food, friendly service and a really nice, relaxed vibe. Thank you to the staff who made our stay - and my mother-in-law's who was visiting from another country- extremely pleasurable. 10/10.

We just visited the pub for lunch and it was excellent. The food was delicious - I highly recommend the artichoke starter and the toasted emmental and ale sandwich. The kids enjoyed their meals, and the dog even got fed as there is a doggie menu. The waitress was lovely and made us feel very welcome.

Just back from a great weekend in the Calder Valley. The owner of the excellent Hope Gallery around the corner recommended this place for Saturday night dinner. My companion and I both had the saddle of lamb, which was superb, I’d go so far as to say Michelin quality, perfectly cooked with a lovage drizzle and parsnip purée and the gravy! A highlight of our stay. Great food and great value.

Booked the deluxe room as it was the only one left available, quite expensive for a night but that seems to be the general rule in Hebden. Lovely spacious room, gorgeous claw foot tub which we didn’t get a chance to use unfortunately. I requested an iron and ironing board which were brought to the room promptly. The only disappointment was the shower pressure. The town was heaving because of football but not this place which was a relief.

Lovely pub in Hebden Bridge. Plenty of seating and large bar. I only stopped for a drink but there is a good selection of beers and spirits. Dog friendly and the menu looked good.

I turned up, only to find I had accidentally booked the wrong month, luckily Minnie was fantastic, and managed to find us a room.
The room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated, with everything you would need.
We also stayed for dinner, and was not disappointed, the food was very tasty and the pub has a really nice atmosphere.
Breakfast was also good, but if you like a continental, very limited choice.

I would definitely recommend it if you find yourself in Hebden Bridge. A great starting place to tour the village or even set out on foot for a hike to Hardcastle Crags.

Near the centre, cozy pub, real fire, good selection of beers. Outside seating and a terrace and free parking. It is a small car park

Popped into this lovely pub during my trip to Hebden Bridge, very welcoming and cosy little place. The service was quick and especially the young man who served me was so lovely. I got the steak burger, and the chips were the best I’ve ever had. I really enjoyed my meal, I’d definitely return. Really nice atmosphere and they also play great music. Brill!

Went here for a meal with my wife. I had the featherblade beef and my wife had the partridge. I cant praise the food enough it was absolutely gorgeous. The beef melted in the mouth and the partridge (Yes I stole some) was beautiful. Service was fantastic and the pricing was adequate to the food you received. Will return again for some tasty food.
