Our fave shop in Hay - if you like a treasure hunt and to immerse yourself in the unexpected this is a great place with just enough order to keep one from losing the plot.

I really enjoyed browsing the books in this shop. Lots of interesting genres arranged in an easy to find way. The owner is really knowledgeable of where everything is. Prices are reasonable and it's dog friendly.

Lovely place. More books than you can read in many life times. Great food, great atmosphere. Many other shops to look at. People are very friendly. Nice architecture with lovely little back alleyways.

Wonderful secondhand bookshop, with surprising variety and nice price.
Parking available nearby for free 1 hour if you managed to get one.

Lots of different types of books in all categories! Beautiful building, well laid out.
It's easy to follow me just what you are looking for, as everything is well labelled! Great place, great store, definitely return.

We could have spent a week looking in bookstores. Some lovely cafés and good weather rounded up a beautiful day. Canoeing on Wye is a nice idea too.

Lovely place to get lost among thousands of second hand books, very hard to leave, and impossible to leave without some interesting literature!

Well its full of books. Has many other establishment's relating to the written word. The prices vary and if your willing to shop around you can get some good bargains. However a pound or even twenty doesn't go very far and we found the little shops without all the hype far more interesting. Food to eat is in abundance but again keep off the high streets. The scenery around Hay is beautiful as is most of Wales.

Brilliant selection of books, from collectables and first editions to general fiction, really enjoyed the art section and was surprised there were still good books on the shelves after the festival! Only qualm, couldn't find any kerouac but assumed this was because of the festival goers buying them up!

Hay on wye is still one of my favourite places to visit! It’s quirky, has lots of character and not to mention lots of book shops🤓 love cafes, independent shops, dog friendly, lots of walks nearby!

Fantastic treasure trove of books. An old house cum shop which is very old, creaks when you're walking about.

Lovely antiquities section downstairs although the shop does appear a little haphazard. Still one of the best bookshops in Hay.

Good selection of books, well laid out and easy to browse. The lady in the shop was freindly and helpful. Very pleasant experience.

A wonderful bookshop that’s well worth visiting.

There was just is much to see in here you could spend a while just in this one shop! What I also liked was the variety I ended up getting a book from 1920s about local history which as it turns out is very useful for something I am now doing.

An outstanding book shop in a town full of bookshops! Comprehensive range of books for every conceivable taste or interest. Well laid out and friendly helpful staff.

Quaint village. Beautiful place to spend the day. Antique shops and book shops lots of coffee shops with seating outside. You can even rent a canoe when you get there.
