This cafe is run by good people with honest hearts. It's super friendly, the regular customers are also very welcoming.
You can have veg with your dinner without it being charged as an extra. And it tastes good. Proper cooking, nothing fancy, just good, honest flavour.
Family friendly, budget friendly, just super friendly. Go in alone or with friends, you'll be welcome.
I haven't been in such a great cafe for more than 30 years!! I'm definitely coming back.

Lovely staff and good prices for nice big tasty food. The owners are really nice and you feel really welcome in this cafe. The Big Breakfast is astonishing. Perfect if you are hungry. They've got a complete menu as well. Prices are unbeatable and you feel at home. You can't ask for more!

I go every time I meet with my daughter and youngest grandaughter fantastic food service and fantastic staff very friendly and fun we were sad to hear from Paul they were retiring and closing the cafe unfortunately I couldn't get down today to wish you all the best

Came in here after swimming with my 2 year old today. Staff were lovely and helpful. Brought my son's food on a toddler plate with toddler cutlery without being asked and made sure we knew it was hot. Food was really nice. Will definitely go back.

Just been for 2 breakfasts absolutely delicious, plenty on and staff are so friendly and great, but in your face kind of way. Definitely recommend

In need of some proper food I headed here and its a great cafe. Its no frills in the best possible way, good prices, friendly staff and good food. The roast dinner hit the spot and the beef was tender and melted in the mouth, as well as, a plate full of vegetables - just what was needed. The menu is varied and there is plenty of choice from roast dinners, soups, sandwiches to jacket potatoes.
If you're in Chester le street and in need of something substantial to eat I highly recommend it!

Been here a few times in recent weeks and tried different food each time. Always good and served with an old school smile that makes you feel warm and fuzzy!

Love this place. Keep going back there. I've had alot of breakfasts in cafes in my time but this is by far the best i've had. They dont over load your plate with chips or other rubbish , just basic sausage , bacon , eggs , beans and a fried slice. The owner is always very nice with a warm greeting and they always give my boy a lollypop when we leave. Top Place.

Pop in quiet regularly when working up this way .
Always have the same Mr Pickwicks Breakfast. There's a word they us in the North . This word typified the "Brekkie" everytime . LUSH . Friendly Staff good banter . Excellent wholesome food perfect starter for a Days graft . See you again soon
