Lovely place to walk the dog and ideal for my black pug as you can walk through the wooded area that is sheltered from the sun much safer for her there :) Can get very muddy in places but a pleasant walk in all weathers

Some short walks (15 minute brisk loop) with flat terrain and a fairly level path, but if your dog likes the forest (or you do) there are longer woodland and even 'ancient' woodland walks to do too.

I have added a picture of the map that you'll find at the car park's pedestrian exit. This shows some suggested routes.

There are no food or drink points or toilet facilities, but there is Strawberry Fields café just a 3 minute drive away (it's dog-friendly too). There's also a pub not too far away that you can apparently get to on foot.

Dogs allowed off-lead.

This is a great, natural resource with free entry and parking. Worth a visit.

Beautiful woodland - a really lovely place to visit. We were given a guided tour by Jane Ward of the Woodland Trust. Her knowledge of both the natural and historical environment was fab and her enthusiasm was inspirational.

Lovely place for dogs. Most people are friendly and considerate BUT there are some people that are just ignorant. Had a huge Boxer dog called CHESTER charge at me today, when I was walking my very small dog and the owners did nothing. Made no attempt to call it back or control it. It frightened me and they did not even apologise. If they cannot control the dog it should be on a lead

Great Park for dog walk, you can walk in the trees or on the fields. Lovely place.
The opening of the car park is well indicated and time changes through the year.

Great place to walk the dog and a great view of the cathedral in Lichfield. Not many walkers on a weekday and the car park is free. Bonus

Lovely area to walk. The only problem is with all this wet weather it's quite boggy. Great place to walk your dog

Lovelly place for a stroll or dog walk just a short distance out of Lichfield and all for free, including parking. Mixture of meadows, established woodlands and new planting which is now starting to grow into established woods.

Daily dog walker here. The woodland trust maintain this area very well, it's very clean and the locals are always very pleasent and friendly!
Parking can be a nightmare at peak times.
There is a longer walk from Pipe Hall you can take into Lichfield, which is easy and peaceful too.

Fresh open air, plenty of space too. We saw many different types of wildlife from birds, butterflies, a couple of rabbits & some deer in the distance. Wonderful plants & mix of trees too. Shame about the 1 dog owner who was very rude to me when I offered him some dog poop bags so he could clean up after his 3 dogs. This after the 2nd one had done his business & owner watched it then walked away. I really do wish these dogs would teach their owners better manners & behaviour.

We take our doggo up here often for rabbit spotting and zoomies. There are several paths around the area giving a variety of scenery including dense woodlands, open fields and streams. Parking is good, but at peak times spaces are limited, many walkers park on the road but we prefer to use the carpark to keep doggo safe.

Long walks or short walks, through the woods in the heat. Take water as the stream is very low. There are water bowls but have to fill ourselves. Cant beat this walk though, much quieter than Beacon park and no roads to worry about so dogs can go off lead.

1st time visit and was a foggy cold day so could not see much at all. Nice flat land with plenty of dog bins . Designed with dog walkers in mind with no push bikes allowed. Will be returning soon

It's a great place to introduce dogs to the proximity of other dogs. I've found other users to be friendly and polite. It's a peaceful and beautiful place to walk and to share
