Truly stunning views. It's really so fantastic to have everything you could need, with plenty of cups, glasses, plates, cutlery, sharp knives and the rest, when so often the care is not taken in other rental properties. The homely, family feel to this house is also really great. Jane was prompt, charming, helpful and polite whenever contacted. A superb gathering of friends went off without a hitch in terms of accommodation. Most grateful. Well done.

Stayed here in a lovely cottage this Christmas 2023. Was an absolutely fabulous time, our family came over from Switzerland and we had the best Christmas holiday. Beautiful house, immaculately clean and tidy and lovely and warm. Kitchen was well stocked, I cooked a Christmas dinner and had everything I needed. Beautiful views from the dining table looking out over stunning scenery. Plenty of hot water for a good soak in the tub after a cold day out walking, lovely showers and the beds were super comfy. Games room was great fun and we enjoyed family snooker and darts tournaments. Wifi worked perfectly and access to Netflix and Amazon was an added bonus. I would highly recommend this house to anyone and Jane was on hand if we needed her, lovely lady. Best Christmas weve had in a long time.

Just spent a week here with a group of friends. Superb location for exploring the local area and the views are stunning. Lunch on the patio in tranquil surroundings just can't be bettered.
On a rainy day we played darts and pool and if you just want to sit and read or be alone for a while there's plenty of room to relax in one of the many rooms. If you enjoy fishing then this is just a perfect holiday location.

We really enjoyed Glas y Dorlan cottage throughout our Christmas stay. The place is in a fabulous setting surrounded by peaceful countryside and the hillside views from the windows are lovely. It is very spacious with large and comfortably furnished rooms and is the perfect place to chill out inside on a rainy day or relax in the evening after climbing one of the many nearby beautiful peaks or exploring the coast. On the first day we woke up to an amazing sunrise that gave us the energy to climb Yr Wyddfa, the highest peak in Snowdon. We enjoyed the log burner and heated floor tiles which were also very much appreciated by our four legged friend.

Thank you very much Jane for making the place so cosy for us and helping us out. We would love to return in the future. Adam and Mari

An excellent venue. Loads of space, plenty of beds and more living rooms than you could shake a stick at.

We've recently returned home from our fourth visit to Bwthyn Bach, we love it so much - we keep going back. The location is just gorgeous with stunning views, and it's so peaceful. My husband loves the fishery especially the Fly Lake. The cottage is gorgeous, so cosy and they've thought of everything. The kitchen is so well equipped, the bedroom and bathroom are lovely with a very comfortable bed and beautiful bedding and towels. The wood burner and hot tub are amazing bonuses. We're back again for a week in September and can't wait. A big thank you to Jane and Tom for making our stay so special. I can't recommend it enough! Harry & Anne

An amazing property perfect for a large family gathering. We had a wonderful week here, the house was fantastic, plenty of room for 8 adults and 8 grandchildren to explore and find their own space. Solid walls and two separate staircases meant we could all enjoy our stay in our own favourite areas. It’s a great house for all to enjoy with every thing catered for. The kitchen and dining room became a hub for all to gather for family meals. Washing machines and tumble dryers were a godsend after rainy days for parents with active children!
The views are amazing and sunrise’s breathtaking.
Thankyou Jane and we all hope to return to this beautiful house.

We enjoyed a wonderful family holiday in this lovely house. Plenty of space in house and garden for 3 generations.
A welcome surprise of a beautiful hamper full of goodies on arrival. A great base to explore the surrounding countryside. Our host, Jane was so helpful. Thank you

The website pictures do not do Glas y Dorlan justice. All the rooms were so much larger than expected, very light and airy with many skylights which was wonderfully bright particularly as we were fortunate to have sun most of the weekend. The outlook from the cottage surrounded by hills and the lakes gave simply stunning views. They have thought of everything you could possibly need and from the sofas to the beds, everything is so comfortable, lovely and cosy with underfloor heating throughout. Huge modern bathrooms with great quality towels. The four of us had such great sleeps in beds that are very large and very comfortable. Jane had kindly left a hamper for us too which was very thoughtful and a lovely touch. Every room is spotless and immaculate, such a pleasure to spend time there. We walked into Criccieth one evening which is a lovely walk but we did decide to take the bus back and the driver kindly dropped us off just outside the fisheries. The only disappointing element was the visit was too short, a weekend simply not long enough. We will be back and book a week next time. Thanks again for a wonderful weekend.

Me and my partner have just returned from a weekend away here. What a hidden little gem this place was. It was so cozy and clean. Jane was super, she welcomed us even though it was dark and cold when we arrived and shown us everything we needed to know she gave us our privacy but was on hand if we needed anything. Hot tub was amazing, views were amazing and there was everything we needed inside, she even left us a cute little hamper, Will definitely book again 😊

Bwythn Bach
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Bwythn Bach, a very comfortable and well equipped cottage. Amazing views of the mountains and even the sea and easy access to Criccieth. Thank you Jane for the welcome basket of goodies.

We have just had a fabulous 2 week stay at the Glas y Dorlan cottage. It is a very spacious comfortable cottage equipped with everything we needed with spectacular views. The secure garden for the dog is perfect to enjoy the outside space and many bbq’s. The hamper was a lovely touch from great hosts Jane and Tom where nothing is too much trouble. This was our second stay and we will definitely be back.

Beautiful country house in idyllic location. Well looked after, clean and homely. 20min walk from beach and next to fishing lakes. An hour away from zip world. Dog friendly. Originally booked for 16 of us. Plenty of space for large groups as many different sitting rooms so can have own space if wanted etc.

This is our favourite place to stopover. I like to think of it as my second home. So relaxing, so friendly, dogs absolutely love it. From the minute we arrive we are just so chilled out. Just like to come, fishing is brilliant (cause I always catch more than my hubby). Take dogs to black rock sands as you can just drive onto the beach and let them all straight out. It is amazing, so beautiful. The hosts Jane and Tom are amazing even though he is a man utd supporter. This is always my first choice for a great holiday and the best place I have ever found to stop xxxx

Highly recommend. Jane was very accommodating & her cottage was well maintained, clean, fully furnished with loads of kitchen utensils & plates & glasses for your favourite wine. The best view of the mountains were the garden terrace, we spent good memories there on our holiday. Huge car parking space can park 6 cars easily & 5 mins drive to Tesco & other shops in Portmadog & 15 mins drive to river stream & mountain trekking & about 10 mins drive to local beach & shops. Large rooms, plenty of bathrooms. Great bedroom views. Definitely return in near future. Thanks once again Jane for having us over.

We stayed in Bwthyn Bach in early January 2022. It was really lovely! The hot tub was so clean and just what we needed to relax. Log burner was also a great addition for cozy evenings. The surrounding area is beautiful, as you would expect for North Wales. Easily walkable to Cricceith and the beach, and a short car journey to Snowdonia. Porthmadog is just down the road with plenty of shops and loads to do. To be honest we spent most of the week in the cottage, having visit the area many times we were looking just to get away from the grind. We were certainly able to do that at this wonderful little holiday cottage. Almost certain to visit again next year.
The host was lovely and friendly too, but also left us alone which is just what we wanted.

I really can’t say this enough but what an amazing house and an even better service Jane provided.

12 of us stayed in the cottage for the weekend and it was perfect. Jane was so so helpful from start to finish! The cafe food In the mornings was spot on.

I left something really important when I left and Jane went out of her way to send it to me.

I can not recommend these cottages or the people enough! 5 start service. Thank you
