Quaint old inn in a lovely village setting.
Homely bar area with a good selection of ales. Interesting menu with some old favourites and a few innovative original dishes, all obviously "Chef cooked".
The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean with everything you need for a good night's sleep.
The continental breakfast was relaxed self service with a great range to choose from.
Not a complaint, but be aware that there is an interesting staircase to the bedrooms.
We will definitely stay again.

The Windmill Inn is just the most wonderful place to go to and stay too. The staff really are out of this world, the food is fantastic with a great choice, the atmosphere is so relaxed and comfortable and the snug bars and drinks finish off a most perfect stay! It is very popular with locals, who clearly know where to meet for drinks and/or food. Finally, a lovely log fire just adds to that cosy feeling.
Absolutely perfect and thoroughly recommended.

On behalf of all of my family, I would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff. We held my Aunty's wake here and also booked out the rooms which were beautifully quaint and so comfortable. I can highly recommend the food also. There were so many delicious meals on the menu that we kept changing our minds. The staff were so friendly and helpful, I cannot recommend this Inn enough. Thank you so much for making our stay enjoyable.

There were nine of us! From all over the south, so the location was perfectly central for all , but also a beautiful pub and surroundings!
The food was fantastic, and they even adjusted the menu a little for me as I am a fussy pants😊! Thanks guys!
We all had a great time, the atmosphere was great and the drinks were just right!
A good selection,a really good menu very well presented and really nice staff?

Booked all 7 rooms at the beginning of October to attend a family wedding at nearby Brookfield Barn.
We ate the night before in one of the dining areas, and the food and service were superb.
The beds were super comfy and the showers piping hot.
We would thoroughly recommend a stay here.
Thank you Windmill Inn

This has become my favourite place to eat close to home
The service, food and atmosphere are second to none. It is such an uplifting place to be. I havent stayed at the Inn as I live close by, but I am sure it is as great as the restaurant which is charming. Thank you to all and Happy Christmas! Tricia

Lovely olde world pub, nice welcome when we arrived, chose the lite bite lunch menu which was very good. Off the main roads but would certainly make the effort to return. The numbers at lunch would certainly suggest its popular.

I had the pleasure if spending time at The Windmill last night, with a group of friends. The food was amazing, hot served 10 all together, and the waitress went above and beyond. Merry Christmas to you all and a Happy New Year. We will be back!

Friendly welcome from staff when we arrived for Sunday lunch to celebrate a family birthday. Service from the waitresses was exemplary and food served in a prompt fashion. We all enjoyed our meals, with 4 in our party choosing the roast dinner. Plenty of vegetables served in separate dishes to share. The veggies were impressed with their beetroot wellingtons. We felt it was great value for money and would happily recommend anyone to give this pub a try. Dog friendly too 😀

Went for lunch here - superb food - excellent service - busy and vibrant pub - parking was a little tricky, but well worth the visit - we'll certainly go again.

Four of us had lunch today, never been before but saw the good reviews. Fabulous lunch, food was great quality and generous portions. Imaginative menu along with the good old traditional meals. Great service too. We’ll definitely be back.

Love this pub, my local. Whatever food you order, you'll never be left hungry for more. Harvey's on tap so what else do you need?! Nice garden with a large sheltered/heated section, smoking shed with comfy seats and heating. Quiet part at the very rear of the pub with a nice view of the field and horses.
