Ideal para quienes deseen experiencia del tradicional té inglés, o bien tradicional almuerzo de los domingos en la Gran Bretaña “Sunday Roast “. Requiere reservación anticipada. Excelente Servicio y toda una experiencia. Precio justo.

After making a reservation for a 50th birthday and nothing mention, it just seemed to go down hill. The room was extremely dusty, chandler, book shelves and vents.
Reception was pleasant, server pushy and didn’t listen to guest. Upon being seated we were asked straight away were we ready. Hadn’t even looked at menu and 1 person had just returned from the toilet. Never had a chance to look at menu to see what we were about to get.
After an about 15 min our food arrive but our tea had not. The food was placed on table with no explanation of what we about to embark. Our sever returned and asked if we knew what we had, we stated no. He seemed angry as it showed in his tone and in face.
The room was disorganised and uncomfortable. There was a lovely group of women having a baby shower, who want to put a handful of pink and blue balloons around them, which they seem to agreed to either the events department, though the manager was not having it. Not the best atmosphere or appeasing to the guest.
During service you had staff state this is a new menus and didn’t know the menu. This is unacceptable and poor training.
After we finished our sandwiches and started on the next part our afternoon tea we were then get asked if we wanted more sandwiches. Attention to detail is not a strong point, not just in service but in cleanliness as well.
When we start on scones we quickly gone through the jam and cream, we had to ask twice to obtain.
Second round of tea took ages as my loose leaf tea bag was not draped and leaves in my cup, no strainer provided.
The food, (sandwiches, scones and pastries)were exceptional, service diabolical, unorganised and useless.
Before writing this review I gave Parkers Tavern the opportunity to get back to me, two days past with nothing.
Staff need more training emphasis on attention to detail. This includes management as no one responded to my In person dissatisfaction.

I had heard nothing but great reviews about Parkers Tavern and was very excited and had been wanting to go here for afternoon tea for a long time now. The perfect opportunity finally came and it was my baby shower with my family who had all visited from 200 miles away. Upon arrival we waited for about 6 minutes to be taken to our table. Our initial waitress was great but her shift ended soon after she took our order. From then on, it was disaster after disaster. Firstly, the table service was appalling, we were not attended to despite being promised to check in on top drinks and sandwiches... we had to call the waitress for follow up service. Sandwiches felt a little stale which we were happy to overlook if we had good table service and experience. After only being seated for 1.5 hours and we hadn't even finsihed our food they began to clear our table and bring us boxes to pack left over cakes. We felt rushed and it became apparent this was because they needed the table. We were not informed of this upon booking nor was it mentioned when confirming the booking 30 minutes before we arrived.

Upon booking my sister in law also confirmed that there would be some sort of aknowledgement/ arrangement regarding it being my baby shower which they confirmed. This never happened. After we paid, i expressed my disappointment with the service and explained it was my baby shower at which point we got moved to the library to another table for some drinks. Whilst we were having drinks, a waitress came over with 2 plates to say "is it someone's birthday today".. no... then "someone celebrating an anniversary"... no. This was very embarrassing! She placed the plates on the table and said "ohhh, well please enjoy the truffle chocolates" and left. No apology, nothing! It was not a great experience.

I wanted to bypass the reviews and try it myself but trust the reviews! Absolutely overpriced and an all round awful experience. We were booked in for half 4, but at 4.40 we were told that we couldn't have more cream and jam as the kitchen had closed? When you spend £133 on 3 people having afternoon tea you'd expect enough cream and jam for the three of us. The whole room was disgusting, dirty plates cluttered the tables and no sound so it was silent in there and very uncomfortable. Not a good place for afternoon tea at all! Huge service charges and added tourist fee.
