Ye Olde Fleece Inn

My partner and I ate here and I wasn’t expecting too much but we were blown away with the food and drinks; we both had the steak and ale pie and it was honestly the best pie I’ve had for a long time. We got cocktails too and they were very good quality. The staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful too I highly recommend this pub!

Me and my family had our Christmas dinner in here, and it was amazing. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, big, juicy, and extremely tasty portions of food which you struggle to finish, but this is definitely a place for food lovers. It's the second time we are coming here, but not the last, that's for sure.

Loved it. Spent a week in Kendal. We’re from Bath so a long drive but well worth it. Any criticism? I would half the size of the menu. Too big and unmanageable for staff.

Stopped for a light lunch. Lovely atmosphere and traditional setting. Food choice was excellent and for all 6 of us, everything we ordered we were very happy with. Very dog friendly and clean. Would highly recommend

I had a fantastic experience at Ye Olde Fleece Inn! The bangers and mash were absolutely delicious, and their vegan burger was a pleasant surprise. The fact that they cater to both meat-eaters and vegans is a big plus.

What impressed me even more was how dog-friendly they are. My furry friend was warmly welcomed, and they even provided water and a treat. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive, making our visit all the more enjoyable.

I highly recommend Ye Olde Fleece Inn for a great meal and a pet-friendly atmosphere. I'll definitely be back! 🐶🍔🍻

This was a fantastic pub for drinking, welcoming us with the vintage design and lights at the very entrance! The design is ancient, from the very walls and ceilings to decorations such as books or frames. Staff were friendly, counter is well-presented and I enjoyed a pint of Rattler at comfy seating!

Kendal Weekend - Feb '24 - Fantastic service (barman went out for dog treats) exceptional pint of house pale KendAle pale 4%. Citrus, honey & biscuit. Very dog friendly! Callan at front of house went above and beyond! 2nd day in Kendal we can back after a 10km walk. Went from Kendal to Hawkshead Brewery, train back and then lunch here. Hot steak baguette (with optional blue cheese sauce) and cheese & pickle sandwich. Both with fries. 3rd and last night here in Kendal. Called in for an Inch's apple cider. Very refreshing! Had great service again!

Absolutely gorgeous meal! But the whole experience was made 1000% more enjoyable by our serve Erin. They were so kind and helpful and also very humorous with us. It made a change to actually have a friendly and personal interaction with a staff member. We will deffinately be back!

Really well run pub which I think was built in 1685. Totally worth a visit and great to see it thriving. Prices were really reasonable too, and 2 log fires on the go.

Visited during recent stay in Kendal. Food was delicious. Brilliant service and friendly welcome. Dog friendly which is a must as we travelled with our dog. Can't comment on rooms as didn't stay.

This was a great pub food was amazing staff where very friendly and a nice atmosphere. Really helped and always smiling nothing was too much trouble really went above and beyond. Would definitely recommend the food and had a good selection off drinks live music on too

We had a really lovely Sunday roast here. The space is beautifully done, and we felt warmly welcomed in with our two kids.

We visited here recently, the service was excellent and the staff were really friendly and attentive. I’ve passed here a few times but never been in, but this will certainly be my place to go for food in Kendal moving forward. Really nice pub inside and the food was very nice. Thanks.

Didn't stay went for a meal 5star, the staff were amazing, the service excellent and the food was absolutely excellent 1st clas .lovely atmosphere.

Had a lovely meal here with my family tonight! Food was absolutely delicious. Only downside was the service was slow however the poor staff were doing their absolute best and were very apologetic for the wait. Felt really bad for them as they were clearly understaffed with only 4 people waiting, bartending, and cleaning tables for the entire pub! They were lovely and the amazing food made the wait worth it 🥰

We had booked here for Christmas day, unfortunately we had to cancel, the staff were so kind and even refunded our deposit (which they state is non refundable when booking) they were kind and empathetic of our situation. Will absolutely be going back due to this treatment.

We had only booked in for dinner so can't comment on the rooms .only thought it was quite a small place we where definitely surprised going upstairs for dinner which was very tasty
