Best soup ever!!!!
Not even sure what flavour it was but it was delicious, in fact it was the nicest soup I've ever had!!! It came out hot hot too!!!!
The staff were ever so nice I'm here and helpful!
My second time in here and it won't be my last!!!

Love visiting the Old Hall for a pint after a hike. Warm and friendly atmosphere and a fair selection of real ales. Have eaten here previously food and service was very good.

Arrived got shown to our room which was clean and warm we had more than ample tea and coffee making facilities,we ate in the hotel and the chap in the attached bakery looked after us during breakfast they had a wide selection of homemade cakes to feast on

Excellent Sunday Lunch with a large marquee outside annual Beer Festival held here.
Was out first visit fabulous bands playing on and off all afternoon into the evening great atmosphere. Will come again.
Not a lot of room for parking so
Will look into it next time.

Had dinner at this amazing pub. Local lamb burger and beer battered fish and chips were amazing. Visiting for a holiday from London where restaurants are very competitive and the food I had would smash any competition. Lovely staff and great beers and ales!! Coming back here next time!

Lovely pub with a great selection of beers on tap. Really cosy and dog friendly. Large beer garden and tearooms attached - they do epic breakfasts!

Pleasant country pub. Very friendly staff. Dogs welcome. A great little cafe attached. Topped by a good selection of ales.

Beautiful hotel, although we only visited the bar and restaurant area, we did visit 4 times.
The history is seen everywhere..staff and food are really excellent.

Absolutely cracking place, really great service. Excellent range of drinks and snacks. Menu is great value and the stove fireplace is really welcome.

Great place we visited on a cider festival so only really stayed in the Marquee. Loads of ale and cider choices well worth a visit.
I've only given this 4 star as its right nxt to a busy road so maybe not great for kids.
However they may have a play area but I didn't see it.

arrived 1:15pm on thursday, plenty of empty tables. the menu is limited. we ordered cold and hot sandwiches. A soup is just addition £2 on cold sandwich, the pull pork sandwich is ok not too sweet.

Been here 3 times now and every time never been disappointed, Paula and Samantha are excellent hosts,the food is really nice,well worth a visit in a beautiful location in the peak district 👍🤓

Had a lovely pub lunch here. The steak & ale pie was fantastic, packed full of meat and the pastry was lovely. The gravy was amazing along with the chips. My wife had the pork, ham, pickle & cheese toasty (think it’s called the Cuban?) and that was great too. Friendly and attentive service, we will definitely return.

Very nice pub, service and ambience both excellent. The food was also excellent and good value for money.

Hope is a complete contrast to Castleton but this pub does not disappoint. Beers seem to be more on the traditional side; the cakes in the adjacent tea room is a sight to behold. Unfortunately I’ve a 🚂 to catch so I’ll have to return to sample the food.

Service from the team was grand for both food and drink.

Excellent selection of cask beers and whiskies on offer.

What can we say. This always one of beste spots if you have done hiking in the peak destrickt. Good food good support good information to give to hikers.
