Very quick postage and tracked next day delivery. My coat was delivered in just a bag which had a hole in it upon delivery but fortunately the coat itself wasn’t damaged so all was well.

Absolutely fantastic shop. I have used Outside as my go to outdoor shop for a few years now and love it. The staff are incredibly knowledgable and experienced, I completely trust their opinions and recommendations. They stock some very high end gear which is paired very well with the expert knowledge from the staff.
I had a problem with my jacket recently but the team were so helpful in sorting it out for me as quickly as possible so I wasn't without my jacket for too long.
I struggle to think many better shops in the UK for any mountaineering gear. The prices are also very good, especially one you consider the top class expertise that back up the gear.

Love this cafe so much. Really good wholesome food, perfect before, after or during a walk. I love their soup and roll combo. Friendly staff and good prices too.

Excellent shop with very professional advice.
Unfortunately I had to return some faulty boots. Within two weeks they were replaced with no fuss. Highly recommend

Great (dog friendly) shop and cafe, well stocked with quality gear. The staff are friendly, helpful and approachable. Been going in for 10 years at least now and still see familiar faces which is always a good sign, also the staff recognise us and have a catch up with us. I also buy online from them when not in the area. You can buy the products many places, but the service and knowledge is why you buy here.

Amazing service and a fantastic range of products. All great brands and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and always on hand to help you find the right gear. You'll find Patagonia, mountain equipment, Rab, Cotopaxi, Scarpa, la sportiva, smartwool, arcteryx, Fjallraven, Mammut etc. They've got everything! Prices are usually RRP but they regularly run sales.

Thanks to Matt 'The Hood' Hood for the to the point headtorch advice. Matt has a vast amount of experience both in the shop with products and outside using them... (and especially in Mountain Rescue). My challenge now is to not lose this ££££ worth of Black Diamond bling as easily as anything else I put on my head Hopefully you wont have to come and rescue me Matt!

My favourite shop. The selection of gear for climbing is great, the staff are really nice, and the cafe upstairs is always good!

A well stocked shop filled with good quality outdoor clothing and equipment. Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful to novice climbers and walkers. They can kit you out with hats to boots and everything else in between. Not cheap but quality costs.
Upstairs is a great little cafe. Hot tasty food at reasonable prices and really nice staff. Excellent coffee to warm you up on these wintery mornings. Love the atmospheric photos of climbers past and the more recent ones.

My favourite outdoor shop for a while now. Not the cheapest but a good selection of quality products and, most importantly, knowledgeable staff that can really help you.

Great place for your outdoor gear. There is also a great cafe upstairs. I had the Chilli, which was very nice and a large portion.

Great shop, loads of climbing equipment and clothing to pore over. Staff knowledge is superb.

Great local shop on the peak District. We were hoping to buy some last minute climbing equipment on a bank holiday and I was very happy to see they were open. The shop is quite big, and packed with everything you might need. The staff at the climbing section were super friendly and knowledgeable, helping me choose a guidebook that suited what I was after. The range of mountain equipment was also very impressive. I would love to visit the shop with a bit more time when I'm not in a hurry!!

Great advice and attention when buying new boots. Had my feet measured and tried a few different types. Lots of patience shown by assistant. Felt valued!
