The Fisherman's Haunt, Christchurch

My friend and I stopped at this lovely pub for a light lunch. We received a lovely warm welcome from the owner. The pub is beautifully arranged with lots of seating in various sections, including outdoor sittings both in front and back of the pub. The food was delicious and well presented and the coffee was very good. It's a lovely pub that no doubt we'll revisit next time we're in the area.
We didn't stay in the hotel next door, however it looked lovely, lots of parking space, grassy area and picnic tables.

First time stay at the property and certainly not the last.
Everything was perfect from checking in to departure. Room was excellent as was the bathroom with a very comfortable bed accommodating a great nights sleep.
Breakfast was cooked to order which was a refreshing change from the pile them high buffets which so many residences are adopting.
On a final note, the staff were all helpful and friendly, thankyou all.

Stayed for 4 nights with the dog. Very accommodating. Feeding, water bowls and dog treats provided. Room was was very clean and spacious with a large shower. Breakfasts were excellent. Evening meals very good although would have liked a smaller portion as an option. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

Recently stayed for one evening and really enjoyed our time at the Fisherman's Haunt. It had been recommended to us by some friends and we were not disappointed. The room was spacious and looked as though it had been recently refurbished to a high quality. We had an excellent evening meal and breakfast the next morning and were served throughout our stay by the very capable Lizzie. Highly recommend the Fisherman's Haunt for any traveller looking for somewhere to stay in the Christchurch area!

Visited the Fisherman’s Haunt for an evening meal with friends. The oval table in the restaurant was ideal for our party of 6, and all the tables were spaced sensibly so that it didn’t feel over-populated. The service was polite and attentive and the food extremely good, with the dishes well presented and evidently not pre-packaged or frozen. We regularly dine out around the New Forest as a group and this was definitely one of our better experiences. Excellent value for money!

Recently stayed one night - arrived after the kitchen closed (which is a little early) but was looked after and provided a good meal.
Was up before breakfast began but again the host made sure I had coffee and cereals whilst the chef made me poached eggs.
Room was also spacious and well equipped. A very good stay.

Great location as i have lived in this area for more than 30 years but go into this place some many times, recently noticed it`s very quiet then checked my bill, if you eat there outside like any normal pub they charge you a 10% service charge for pub food, probably explains ones of the reasons they are quiet in pub.
Why do places think it is acceptable to charge a service charge that is set, it`s up to customers, when will these owners learn!!
Won`t be going back, try the New Queen down the road.

We stayed here for 2 nights as our daughter was getting married at Sopley Mill. The staff were welcoming and extremely helpful accommodating all our different needs. Breakfast each morning was freshly cooked and very good.

We stayed here for 2 nights and had such a great time. Wonderful atmosphere in the pub, such great food and super service. Rooms were really clean and nicely done. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Very nice roast dinner, you can definitely taste the quality! Also recommend the corning orchards cider which is lovely! Didn't stay in the rooms so can't comment only used the restaurant. Staff were polite and friendly and we both really enjoyed our visit

Excellent food and service.
We had the Sunday Roast, mine was the vegetarian option I can honestly say it was the best I have ever had, it was so tasty and well presented. My partner had the Roast chicken, which was of an equal standard.

We cannot wait to return.

We had a one night stay (2 adults and a dog) on our way to Poole to catch a ferry. Very helpful and friendly staff and the room was lovely with high quality bedding, effective black out blinds and a super shower. Dinner in the bar was fabulous,
Lovely to sit outside in the garden and great paths nearby for walking.

Had a one stay and have to say it was a lovely place to stay, comfortable bed and very nice shower, staff were lovely and friendly. The breakfast also was delicious, great location as well to visit the coast

We only spent one night but had a lovely evening meal and breakfast. The staff were friendly and attentive.

From calling earlier in the day to confirm the booking through to leaving the following morning, we had the best experience which was far above expectations.

Gavin and his Team were courteous and quietly efficient.
Never overbearing.

The room was big, cleaned to within an inch of its life, comfortable and very well equipped.

The location is ideal for travelling out of or into Bournemouth airport or for just a base from which to explore the South Coast.

Room was in an annex to the pub and was clean and quiet.Both bed and shower were excellent.Food and staff were good especially the guy serving us breakfast.They made our little dog very welcome so would definitely recommend.

A last minute booking but glad we went to the Fisherman's Haunt. Very good room. Really friendly staff. Lovely breakfast. We'll be back.

Excellent place to stay in a great location to get out and about. Loads of parking so no worries there and the staff/hosts were genuinely friendly. Great food and comfortable clean rooms.

We booked an overnight as we were attending a wedding at Sopley Mill. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was very good with a very comfortable bed, excellent shower and plenty of room. Lovely breakfast next morning. Very picturesque location. Couldn’t fault our stay and will definitely book again if we stay in the area in the future.

Excellent all round! Made to feel welcome from check in to check out. Excellent pint of London Pride, great fish pie, marvellous breakfast and amazing breakfast coffee
