If you want friendly helpful service go here. From the first drink we ordered right through to going back numerous times and having dinner here the staff were lovely. None of it felt forced, just seemed like everyone enjoyed being there. Good selection of beers and food was good. Highly recommend.

Genuine 5 star independent pub and B&B. The landlord was very friendly and kind. Made sure we were all well catered for. Turns out he is also the Head chef and does some great food. Came and and chatted to us over dinner to make sure everything was OK. The pub and BB are suitable modernised. The rooms are good size clean and fresh. We stayed for 2 nights and would not hesitate to stay again. There is plenty of parking, although the car park is owned by someone else if you give your reg at the pub they will cover the cost. Landlord was also OK with a few campervans staying the night as long as they came in for a beer or 2. Great service thanks coach and horses.

Me & my friends just visited and was thoroughly impressed! The food is absolutely delicious, with each dish bursting with flavor and prepared to perfection. The service is incredibly quick, ensuring that we are never left waiting long for our meal. The portion sizes are generous, giving great value for money. The owner and staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment you walk in. A special shoutout to their adorable pet dog, who adds a unique and charming touch to the overall experience. It's a welcoming atmosphere that makes us want to return again and again. We highly recommend for anyone looking for a great dining experience. Five stars!

A friendly and welcoming pub, under new ownership. Currently the kitchen is being refitted, hence the limited menu, but is due to reopen next month hopefully. I'm looking forward to another visit once the kitchen reopens. There is a large car park opposite, free of charge to patrons - just enter your reg into the tablet on the bar. The pub offers a good variety of beers and ciders too.

Very nice meal while passing on the canal on holiday. Really good food, good prices and the garden is great for kids with the play area.

We visited on a run out in the car. Got there around 230. They only had pork left so I had a pork Sunday lunch and my husband a roast pork roll with chips. The food was lovely as was the lovely garden on the canal. We ate outside where there is a restricted menu.

What a lovely place, found on the off chance. Was in need for some food and drink and came across This Gem. Received a warm welcome on arrival. Even had someone come out to help us with the parking. Dog friendly and amazing food. Thank you

Wider family and I travelled from New Zealand and based ourselves here for 4 days whilst attending a family Birthday and visiting wifes family. We really enjoyed our stay here and the hosts were top notch👌🏾

Lovely Deli attached to the inn. Independent business. A beautifully done addition that started middle of 2019. Locally sourced produce. Large variety of Fish, Artisan breads, pastries, cheeses, meats and much more. Very helpful and charming. Covid compliant. Very good value for money. Would highly recommend a visit.

Lovely pub with rooms on the canal. We had smoked haddock fish cake followed by chicken with mash, broccoli and mushroom sauce and fish and chips. Not cheap but good value as so delicious. Not the broadest range of real ales (no ipa on draft) but the cwrw gorslas was very good.
Campervans can stay overnight in their car park for free.

This is a lovely place. The food is very nicely presented ( you can't see too well as I forgot to take a picture when I first got it). It tastes amazing too.The staff are so polite and friendly and it's definitely worth a stop here.

You can stay here overnight in a motorhome/campervan for free when you have a meal here or you can pay £15 per night if you would prefer. You can stay right next to the canal with a lovely view. I would recommend it here.

We enjoyed the spectacular breathtaking mountain views en route from Ebbw Vale and the stroll around the pretty Llangynidr countryside .... At the close of our perfect day though was the visit to the local pub - 'The Coach & Horses Inn' for a beautiful home cooked meal. It really was the cherry on the top for us (many of the dishes include fresh fish ... they even have their own delicatessen!!)

What a lovely place! We found it by luck as we were in our way and gosh were we lucky!
Super welcoming, the meal was delicious, the setting makes you wanna stay here and relax.
Parking is not an issue with large area just across the road.

Motorhome stopover. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Food was top rate. Lovely canal walk along the Monmouth/Brecon. Loads of wildlife, views, and berries and nuts you could forage for.

Out on the motorbike with the wife and took in the Llangynidr road from Beaufort to Llangynidr. Stopped on the way to Brecon in Llangynidr Coach and Horses pub & deli. We didn't go in the deli side but looked good selection as we walked into the bar to order some food and drinks. Sat outside with stunning views and right along side the canal. Highly recommended if you in that area of the Brecon Beacons.

A good place to visit if meeting with friends, when using the car park, sign into the iPad provided at the bar with your car number plate to avoid a fine.
