Popped in to this great little pub whilst camping locally,

Dog friendly and great atmosphere, was a Saturday evening so was busy, so would advise to pre book a table, good selection of beer and lagers,
we had a table outside as the pub was full but all catered for outside with cutlery and condiments close to hand.

Great views looking over the fields towards the hills.

Food was hot and good size portions, we had starters and a main, we was advised that there would be. 15 min wait between courses but it needed up being 30 mins, presume it was due to it being busy.

Staff were all pleasant and welcoming.

We’ll be back again when we’re in that area.

Sunday dinner, in the sun, with gorgeous views of Long Mynd! Went for the beef and was not disappointed. Absolutely gorgeous. Dog friendly. Must book - it gets really busy...for a reason!

Mary and I were staying at Acton Scott in a sheperd's hut. We decided to celebrate our Golden Wedding with a meal at the Green Dragon. What a superb experience. We ate in the formal dining room and were suprised to find that the staff had decorated the table for us. How special. The excellent food and atmosphere were second to none. Thanks to all the staff who made this a memorable evening.

Fantastic! Never been before and can definitely recommend. Staff were very friendly and considerate. We only mentioned once that there were some intolerances, and both staff remembered throughout, even down to the chocolate with the bill, highlighting they were okay for us to eat.
Not only were the staff great, the menu had a brilliant selection, catering to everyone with clear allergen info. And the food was delicious! We will be returning!

What a gem of pub! After hiking around the area, and slightly getting lost we stumbled upon this country pub. We were welcomed and seated in a friendly efficient manor. I was torn between what to have and the waiter was very helpful in recommending a beef pie- and I was not disappointed. However having a sweet tooth, for me the desert was the best, the cheesecake of the day was divine! Totally recommend this country pub, great service, great price, great staff!

Advisable to book a table and certainly worth a visit. My marie rose prawn and smoked salmon salad was delicious and my wife had two starters (soup and chicken tenders) which was more than enough. Good choice of ales and great friendly service.

I booked and ate here twice last week with my very elderly mother and her carer. The food was excellent and the staff very attentive. Thank you for a lovely relaxing meal on our journey. No room for pudding or we would have had some! A perfect end to our holiday.

Amazing pub! Excellent food and value for money. The best buttermilk chicken burger in the UK!!! The steak pie was also yummy. Good selection on kids menu. Very friendly and professional staff. Good selection of local beer on tap. I wish they were closer to London. Will definitely visit again!

Second day of our holiday we went here for Sunday lunch. What a find, great food, good service and a very friendly atmosphere. Our two dogs, Annie the Jack Russell and Megan the border collie were made to feel at home, given treats by the staff. Enjoyed The Green Dragon so much that we called in every day for a drink after spending the day doing our tourist bit, a pub with locals who were all friendly.

Me and my partner where staying in Church Stretton about a mile up the road. We decided to have another walk after scaling cardingmill valley. Worth the walk lovely atmosphere and great bar staff. Really good vibes and gorgeous views in the beer garden. We didn't stay for the food but it looked and sounded amazing.

Lovely pub in a beautiful location. Dined with friends and we all had delicious meals. The menu is varied and the portions are good. It is clear why this pub is so popular. Definitely recommend.

We found this reviewed online and thought we would pop along to visit. The little one loved playing in the play area which was safe and enclosed. The outside tables were very well setup for outside dining. The staff were very friendly and the food was very enjoyable. We will definitely be back again soon.

We ate here midweek lunch time after a lovely long walk, and we were quite impressed by the pleasant staff, atmosphere, and the lovely welcoming fire. We only fancied a couple of items to eat, and there was a good selection of bar snacks to choose from. What arrived looked and tasted great.

Enjoyed a family meal here on a Sunday; great service and good food. Reasonable selection of drinks as well with a beer garden for children.

Lovely views of the Long Mynd.

Limited parking of busy (which it was) so be mindful of that!

Popped in for a bit of tea first expectations really easy to find, lots of parking and friendly staff. Sat down and ordered the bacon cheese burger and oh man it was so nice one of the best burgers I've had it was tender and juice with crispy chips couldn't ask for a better meal. For dessert I had a homemade chocolate brown with ice cream that was absolutely delicious 😋. Would highly recommend that you visit this little jem.
