My husband and I travelled from London by train to visit the Snowman exhibition and other Raymond Briggs works at Ditchling Museum of Art and Craft. I knew nothing about him, and was interested in the information and display. I bought some items from the shop, but was disappointed there weren't more Raymon Briggs Father Christmas bits and Snowman bits for sale. It was a pleasant afternoon, in the country.

A brilliant museum telling great local stories. Really worth looking up what's on, they have had a great series of shows. With the current tenuous financial reality for arts institutions, they need your support more than ever.

Ditchling Museum of Art & Craft is an absolute cultural gem set in the beautiful surroundings of the rolling South Downs. I recently visited the excellently curated Raymond Briggs exhibition, which had me walking away inspired and raring to go and my mark on the world. As a graphic designer, naturally, I am an avid fan of Eric Gill, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that Ditchling is surrounded by a handful of his sculptural pieces! We need more artistic institutions like these. Please do visit and help Ditchling Museum of Art & Craft carry on the amazing work they do and the valuable educational resources they provide. You will not be disappointed! Thank you Ditchling Museum for an inspiring day.

An incredible little gallery based in the heart of the beautiful village of Ditchling. We popped along for the “Signs of the Seaside” exhibition and I absolutely loved seeing all the books on typeface and fonts. Although we’re based in Portsmouth, I’d happily drive over here for any exhibitions in the future.

We visited the Ditchling Museum in order to see the Raymond Briggs exhibition and we weren't disappointed in any way. Our daughter has always had a great interest in his work especially 'The Snowman' since she was a child and still has the same interest even now she's in her mid forties. It was a special treat for her as it was her birthday that day.

The exhibition itself, was presented in a well organised manner and was easy to navigate around the many displays and works exhibited. There was also a short video interview with RB running in a continuous loop, which gave an interesting glimpse into the character that he was.

To see his original works displayed and some of his 'tools, made the visit complete. There was also a great display of ceramic characters (of which our daughter has a few) of the various characters from his 'Snowman' works. Seeing the exhibition, made the talented character that was Raymond Briggs feel very real and made us appreciate his work even more.

So, if anybody has an interest in RB, then, we recommend visiting this exhibition during the period that it is running for. The admission price was very reasonable and good value. The museum also has a nice little cafeteria in the reception area along with an equally well stocked shop from which you can buy a number of eclectic but associated goods as a momento of your visit.

Outside there is the local church and cemetery which is worth taking a walk through onto the village centre where there is lovely little cafe type place which serve a good range of tempting goodies.

Interesting exhibits in a lovely gallery. Can be very busy at weekends. Nice little well curated shop too. Quirky items you don’t see everywhere. Good coffee. Nice cakes.

A Speciality, to be seen more as an integral
part of Ditching, than just a museum. Light
'n' airy. Beautifully designed. Independent,
very active, and extremely friendly. Ongoing
workshops, events, and courses. Small cafe
in a delightful gift shop selling "art, craft, and
design'. Ideal presents. Dropping off only, as
parking is but a few minutes down the road.
Wheelchair accessible. Toilets.

Really enjoyed the Raymond Briggs exhibition. Parking was a bit problematic as there was no blue badge parking but I'm sure it would have been fine had there not been an event on.

It is quite a small venue but they have some interesting exhibitions. Currently it is Raymond Briggs who wrote and illustrated The Snowman.

The Raymond Briggs exhibition is world class, and will go back again, there is so much. He is world famous and trancends age, class and any other barrier that you can think of. Utterly sublime and a triumph of curation.
