Excellent all round great service food and drink really enjoyable

We've ordered their take away meal kits a few times now, when we get friends over it's the best way to have an incredible meal at home. Couldn't recommend it more highly.

Drop in at a weekend and grab handfuls of their brilliant sweet and savory treats. Just started doing sandwiches which are divine.

The brisket takeaway was quite easily there best meal of my life. A large meal so we had the main on Sunday and the rest over the next two days. If i could give ten stars I would. Superb.

A wonderful eating experience from start to finish. The decor and vibe of the place is stylish and relaxed. Went as a party of 4 (and a half) , 2 vegans, 1 veggi and 1 meat eater and we were all catered for. We also had my 3 month old son, who I felt completely at ease feeding in the restaurant and the staff were lovely with.
Absolutely amazing vegan food! There's an entire separate menu, giving you so much choice. Beautifully presented, tastes sensational. The staff are genuine, attentive and professional. Will definitely be back. Thank you for a special evening.

We had a takeaway last night and it was fantastic! All 3 courses were exceptional and the attention to detail was excellent. The addition of a hand made night light and very sweet rose and herb arrangement just made the whole evening extra special. Thank you.

Really lovely place. Staff are so lovely. Food is amazing. Cocktails or drinks upstairs in gorgeous room, dining downstairs in small but comfortable room. Not wheelchair friendly though. Quite expensive, £100 for 2 courses for 2 but worth it. Definitely recommend.

This is the second time we have been to Gimbals. It is a quirky place with very helpful staff and the food is adventurous but not pretentious. I had the seafood platter which was delicious and the lamb which was full of flavour. I can highly recommend the trio of desserts too. This place is well worth a visit but you will need to book.

Just enjoyed a delicious takeaway meal from Gimbals. The food was really tasty. The filo parcel was gorgeous and the lamb perfect. Puddings too, stickly toffee pudding and truffles were just divine. I am about to order meals as a treat for my both my sons. Thank you Gimbals that was a real treat.

Very unassuming frontage hides a real gem. Consistently good food over the last six years we have been going. Menu constantly changing with imaginative mix of ingredients and great wine list. Best restaurant in Calderdale in my opinion.

We ordered the Valentine's Day meal and had high expectations for the price. I'm pleased to say these were exceeded however with a very cleverly put together meal which was very easy to heat up at home and came with some lovely touches. The love potion cocktail went down a treat and every course was divine. Creating a playlist on Spotify was also a stroke of genius along with the candle included to add to the overall ambience. Well done Gimbal's, we look forward to eating in the restaurant again as soon as possible!

Gimbals is a rare find in this world full of establishments selling mediocre food at inflated prices. The food was delicious served without a hitch. The staff were knowledgable and polite. The owners still passionate about what they do and they do it so well. Real food at realistic prices. Well done Gimbals.

Lovely boutique style funky restaurant in Sowerby Bridge with extensive vegan and veggie options. Modern menu with perfect portion sizes. Moderately pricing reflects the quality of meals and service well.

Really love the food here. Reasonable price for higher tier food. Fantastic atmosphere and decor. Very boutique style and a converted house. The cocktail bar is a welcome addition.

Not our first visit and wiĺl not be our last. Despite having to travel over an hour we all felt it was worth it. All 9 of us had the taster menu which was extremely tasty, served piping hot by staff who couldn't move faster or smile broader if they tried.
