The Crafty Baa Windermere

Nice atmosphere, good beer selection, I believe they have a food offering but was too late to try anything. I saw the whisky menu and it was top notch. A great place for the whisky drinker.

It's hard to describe a bar like this in a way that does it justice - Funky ✅ Quirky ✅ Unique ✅ Bohemian ✅ etc etc, it's just, different, and different is good.
It is a visual and sound feast, there's just something in every nook and cranny, and definitely all over the ceiling, that catches your eye!
At first glance it may come across as "trying too hard to be different", but somehow all the chaotic and random scenes that adorn the walls and roof just seem to, fit together like a jigsaw puzzle.
We only popped in for a round of drinks after dinner, but I found myself quite comfy and enjoying the environment as much as I was enjoying my pint of IPA.
Hoping to return for the Bar Menu which, on paper also fits well with the vibe

We loved it. Sat opposite the bathroom as it was busy but that ended up being the best part, giggling as people couldn't get in!!!

Food menu is pizza, wraps, snacks and hotdogs. Recommend the camberbertl!

Lovely wine in a nice glass (glass makes ALL the difference).

Went to this pub before COVID in 2019 I think. It was that one place you just have to visit and with out 2 year old now he loves the place. Great food, great beer and an amazing decor inside the place. I must visit when your in town.

I came too late for food but the variety of beer, ales etc was amazing! Great vibe, small and cozy, will visit again when I'm next up

Can't fault any aspect of this bar. The staff were great, the food excellent and it has the most interesting quirky decor.

10/10 recommend! We were on holiday and came back twice! The food was to die for (cambambert was incredible) and beers great. The best, wackiest find in the Lake District. Must visit!

Kendal Weekend - Feb '24 - decided to get the train on our 3rd day to Windermere. Aborted a long walk in favour of the first quirky bar we found. Great choice of ales and ciders! Loved it! Dog friendly!

You could honestly spend hours here (I did!). Amazing place for several drinks and some good grub. The Maggot Apple Cider is really refreshing. Just a really good atmosphere!

Went for a drink while in the area as it looked so interesting from the outside and very dog friendly. Had a couple of drinks, cheap for the area and some pork crackling. Inside is so quirky. Loved it. Could look around hours!!

Stopped here for a quick lunch. Great food and quirky atmosphere.

To put it in a word, The Crafty Baa has CHARACTER. I love the spooky-core ambiance, with skeletons and Halloween adjacent flare making up the bulk of this multi story pub's innards. Bulky selection of beers, ciders, wines, and other boozy things. The food is just right, nothing to blow your socks off but certainly won't disappoint. Go in for a pint or three.

What a place! Like Sanderson sisters met Beetlejuice and made a Halloween 365 house- but with a Bar! Must see. 😈🎃💀👻

The quirkiest little bar I’ve seen, lots of different beers, ales and ciders to try, big blackboard around the corner of the main bar with a list of over 100 different bottled drinks to try! More seating upstairs with a room specially dressed up for the Halloween season. There are seats outside as well with heaters. Well worth a visit!

Hi my name is Wooliam Sheeper and I approve the Crafty Baa. A one of a kind place as much as I wish it was everywhere. The staff are so attentive and kind and the atmosphere is what I'm gonna go to when my therapist says "Think of your happy place"

Undoubtedly the premier pub for choice of ale in the Bowness / Windermere district but the beer menus are so complicated to decipher particularly when there’s a full house. Great staff on hand trying to assist and the close proximity of all the tables leads to a cracking atmosphere. Where better to wait for your train with the railway station being less than 5 minutes away?

Good selection of beer although no stout for me but venture for a good sour.
Lake District price as expected but worth indulging myself for the day trip.

Very quirky, too loud downstairs - but upstairs was fine. Great choice of beers and wine was great as well. Definitely worth dropping in.

My best mate and daughter came to the Lakes, for a holiday break. This was was the best bar baa none!! We started in there, went for a walk and herded back in there again. Ewe all looked after us and made us feel welcome. Thanks again all.
We are like lost sheep now back home..
