Fabulous camp site set in peaceful location. Facilities are clean and great, very hot showers and excellent washing up areas. Eco toilets are clean and better than most camp site loos!!!

Tim who was looking after the site when we stayed was so friendly and helpful an absolute gent who even helped us with the use of a stove as we had forgotten ours

Great basic campsite: toilets, showers, coffee machine.
Has amazing views with a small brook and waterfall at the back, a great campsite to stay at for a couple nights of back to basics camping

Fantastic spot and the guy who either owns or runs it is very friendly and a top bloke, it's cash only so we said that we would go to a cash machine and come back to which he said do a bank transfer when you have a signal, Very nice gesture
The site has good facilities for a £10 a night pitch and the views are amazing

Nice place where you can camp with you tent or in your vehicle. There are as well beds in the barn but you have to check in advance availability. From this place you can start different routes of hiking. There are facilities like toilets and showers(you need 1£ coin for like 6 min timer). To mention there is not connection in that area. The price is like 8£ per night per person, and for keeping the car there as well like 8£ for whole duration of camping.

My partner and I stayed 2 nights over the bank holiday. It was a fabulous experience, and the first time we have stayed here.
It was quiet and fellow campers were respectful to each other. The owners were super friendly. It was clean. The toilets were clean there is 2. Take your torch during the night! There is a pot wash and showers (showers £1 a min). We will absolutely stay again.
The only thing I’d say and it’s not a negative, but if the grass was cut, then when it’s Dewey in a morning it would dry quicker.
Perfect idilyc location with sour milk gill towering above the site.
A total switch off from the stresses and strains of society. Thank you for a beautiful weekend :)

Amazing stay at seathwaite farm, plenty of space / option for a tent pitch. Stunning views and variety of walks to complete in this area. We climbed scafell pike from here which was a great hike. Farmer / owner is brilliant and really friendly.

Toilets aren’t very pleasant like other national trust toilets, only 2 x female and 1 x male so be prepared to have to wait sometimes.

Me & my partner would defiantly visit again due to the nature & views, so peaceful and relaxing! Everyone around was friendly and respectful.

Had a wonderful August Bank Holiday here. They now have TOILETS! albeit ‘long drop toilets’ but toilets non the less.
The weekend was soured by a group of about 15 Neanderthals who bought with them a load of drums and they thought it was OK to play them non stop throughout the evenings. They even ‘played’ the same thing over and over with no regard for anyone else. You could hear nothing else but this drumming. It was terrible and spoilt the Saturday night.
I’m not even sure if they were all there?
They were possibly part of some Eastern European religious group. Anyhow all you could hear was this repetitive drumming. A lot of people left on the Sunday morning because of them so the owners, to their credit had a word with them.
The site having toilets makes a difference and its situated in a wonderful valley.
The owner can be seen most mornings with no trousers on in just his underpants and vest and cardigan.
They have cows and sheep and the owner Tim is a proper chatterbox but a lovely helpful and friendly guy. This site is ace for kids too especially with the animals as part of the site.
Will be going back but hopefully Billy Bongo and the Not Right wont be there this time.

Had no issues here, based on honesty for payments, not rushed as such to leave or checked for what time you arrive. No phone signal at all which actually felt really nice but I would advise to text call family etc to say you've arrived safely while you pass through the village because around the farm there is nothing, yiu can get a signal when walking up the hills in spots. Toilets was very basic but clean enough, didn't use the shower block but again looked as if it does the job!

Such a fantasticly placed site for walking, hiking and mountain biking, within a working farm location.

It's got public footpaths directly up to Scafell Pike, so the road towards the campsite will get busy with people parking up to do that, but the farmers manage it well so you can always get in and out (though it is narrow in places).

Warm showers, and attentive staff who were quick to deal with any issues (like no loo roll).

Will definitely stay here again.

What a fabulous site. A large field, fairly flat, and very informal. No fixed pitches, just find a space. I visited on a sunny weekend in the school holidays and the place was heaving but still enough space for everyone. A good shower block although i used my own facilities. Views to die for! Lots of tents with people climbing Scafel Pike and Great Gable. Wonderful walking even for those with more limited abilities. To top it all at the back of the site is a wonderful wild swimming pool in the river Derwent. Crystal clear water even in the height of the drought being enjoyed by children, adults and even dogs ! What a bonus and all for 7 quid a night.

Hidden Gem in the heart of the Lake District, located perfectly for those who want to hike Scafell Pike, Great Gable and all the other fells around that area. Showers are basic but clean, £1 operated, get about 5 mins of hot water. Washing up sinks in this block also. Toilets are in a separate block and are national trust owned so very basic and have no light, so take a torch. If you’re wanting to get away from civilisation this is the perfect site. The man running the site was stepping in while the owners were away, and was the nicest, welcoming guy. Full of knowledge of the valley and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend, also great value.

Great campsite for getting away from it all (no phone signal here). Facilities are basic but very clean. Shower uses a £1 coin but that's more than enough and nice and hot. No fridge or freezer though.
Would recommend.

Me and my family were regular visitors to this campsite and I've known Pete since I was a kid, it's a beautiful campsite in a beautiful park of England. All you people moaning about the toilets need to get a grip seriously!! When we went 20 Yr ago it was a field and a toilet block what Pete does not own the national trust does so not Petes responsibility.. Also £1 to use the showers is very reasonable in contrast to the water bills are these days!! If you want fancy facilities go to butlins!! ** for the owner pete** - ill be bk over your way next Yr 100 percent mate. Hope your keeping well (Sean. Val n Petes nephew)
