Hi arrived for the cricket 🏏 very helpful in attending to see us to our room. Very spacious, huge bathroom, modern shower. excellent facilities including off road car park outside family area and vast bar. Restaurant good inviting menu along with pleasant knowledgeable staff expecially the chef who knew where the cricket ground is. Affordable, comparable prices and excellent value 👌. Nice neighbours too took a wrong turning xxxx

6 of us had a meal on Monday evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. Apart from the varied menu there is also a specials board. Always had a good meal when visiting and the staff are all friendly, approachable and efficient. We sat in the conservatory which is dog friendly and they had put aside a dog bed beside our table which was a nice, welcoming touch. Would highly recommend a visit.

Love this place! We usually go once a week and either enjoy a three course special or Sunday lunch. The food is always lovely and the staff are friendly and attentive. Prices are some of the cheapest around. Would definitely recommend.

Had lunch with my daughter and 2 granddaughters. The food was excellent and real good value for money. All of the staff were first class very attentive and all made a lot of the children
This is somewhere I will use on a regular basis.
Five star 👍

I can't comment on the hotel rooms but I visit the restaurant regularly and I love it.
Friendly staff, great menu with amazing special offers and lovely atmosphere.
The portions are generous particularly of the potato skins and garlic mushroom starters. The pasta dishes are always lovely as are the chicken dishes.

We was looking for a last minute hotel. For the night. And this popped up at £52 for the night including breakfast (There was a deal on at the time) but for the price we took the chance on it.

Very easy to find. And plenty of parking.

We was welcomed in the bar when we arrived and shown to our room. Room was really big and the separate shower/toilet room was huge. With a big walk in shower.

Everything was very clean. TV on the wall and it suprised me the TV already had Netflix and other apps installed so I could of left my firestick at home. Everything worked as we expected.

Came to the restaurant for dinner. again greeted very polite and friendly. Food was banging and very well priced.. and portion sizes was good. Me and partner had full bellies and had a great evening.

Breakfast we arrived to meet a staff Member called Josh. Very polite and friendly. He sorted our drinks and then brought us our full English breakfast. What a great meal to start the day.

We will 100% be back.

This is such a lovely place to stay. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming with great food. The hotel room was very spacious with a very comfy bed and a huge bath that was very appreciated after a long days out.

Quiet and out of the way but only 15 minutes to Durham by car. Excellent restaurant. No dedicated check in and staff can be busy in the bar and restaurant so knocked off one star as I can't give it 4.5. However excellent value for money and may well be back.

My husband and I stayed here for our son's graduation from Durham. We paid £92 for two nights which was excellent value for money. It was about 8 miles out of Durham and took about 16 minutes to drive there. The room was spacious as was the bathroom and overall fairly clean. The staff were friendly and polite. The shower was fabulous and lovely fluffy towels provided. The only slight gripe is there is no-one on reception so you have to go into the restaurant to track anyone down so I would advise leaving your luggage in the car until you have your room keys. There was also only two teabags to use in the room and two coffee sachets so I did think a few more of these should have been left. The housekeeper gave us more the next day when we asked so no real issue. Would definitely stay here again and recommend

Came in for my birthday and the server was absolutely lovely. So funny and amazing with the kids. Cocktails are lovely and it’s just an all around great place. 10/10 would highly recommend.

We booked two rooms on a recent visit to Beamish. The rooms were spotless and both large rooms. The food was amazing and very reasonably priced but what sets it out from others is the staff. Every single member of staff was amazing and could not do enough to make our vist top notch. Would definitely recommend. Thank you.

Came for lunch with my 3 year old son.
Food was delicious and staff so kind and friendly. Very reasonable pricing, much better than going to a chain restaurant that have similar deals but no where near the quality of the Moorings.
Fabulous.

With a party of 20 you do expected some hiccups with orders of this size. BUT not here, all the food was served almost altogether and came out piping hot. Portions size, taste and quality was not compromised in anyway. I cannot recommend highly enough for a great evening.

The room was immaculately clean. The evening meal in the upstairs restaurant was 5 Star. Live singer downstairs in the bar. Great atmosphere. Made to feel very welcome
