Soho Tavern Gateshead

Fantastic. Food is perfect (with a huge vegetarian menu as well), beer is cheaper than most pubs and good quality.
Casual and totally unpretentious.
Big TV's for the sport, nice patio for smoking and plenty of free parking in a pleasant little village.
Will definitely return.

Tasty, big portioned food with loads of flavour! Service was brilliant as well, it was our first time coming to Soho Tavern, we were immediately welcomed with a smile. Once seated, the friendly waitress went through the whole ordering process and the range of food options, she also explained that we could easily take any extras home with us with the complimentary plastic boxes - this was a great idea, helping to reduce waste!
All the food we ordered was extremely tasty, full of flavour, huge portions and all at a reasonable price. Strongly recommend the grill sharer boards. The app that you can order through is also very easy to use and accessible. It’s a shame we don’t live more local otherwise we would make this a regular place we came to eat. Thank you for the great food and service.

First time at soho and wow what can I say... food was absolutely amazing service was great lovely friendly staff we were served by Chris who explained the menu to us. The restaurant is beautiful and clean. Can not fault one bit. They even have the perfect roof garden with music on the tv

Had a lovely meal on Sunday night in this fabulous restaurant. Got a great welcome by Chris who was able to explain the menu to me and my wife. He looked after us really well which was great for us. Also the manager Johnny was nice and came and chatted to us. 1st time here and won't be the last.

We had a party of 8. Excellent hosts, wonderful waitresses, service and food was simply ace, loads of choice for both food and drink. For sport, I think we counted at LEAST 10 tv's....wasn't just one football match on either. A quality place, done out really well. For a good relaxing meal/evening out its got to be Soho Tavern who get a 10 out of 10 from us. The best for sure!!

Unbelievable and well priced food that was made fresh to order. Staff were absolutely lovely and so attentive (shout out Chris), and really nice casual atmosphere. 10/10 will be back!

I recently dined at Soho Tavern Gates Head, and it was a delightful experience. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening out. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The food was outstanding, with each dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I highly recommend trying their signature dishes; you won't be disappointed. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and I can't wait to return.

Was so glad to discover this gem of a place. It’s lively with a mouth-watering variety on their menu. The food is absolutely delicious. They have a separate menu for vegan/vegetarian dishes with loads of options. We tried the veg noodles, veg Manchurian, paneer karai, tandoori roti, chilli prawn, egg fried rice and nuggets with chips for the bairn. The staff are always warm and welcoming. Every time we’ve been here it’s been an enjoyable experience.

I visited this place and the food was so delicious, very hygienic and nice service. It's a good place to visit with friends and family. The atmosphere is so good! Also, i ordered food from this restaurant and the packing quality is good too. So I say visit this once and i highly recommend it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Came to Soho Tavern with family on Friday, and will definitely be back. The food was outstanding.portions were good and service was great. I'd like to mention one of the staff Chris who went above and beyond for us. We will definitely be back soon and recommending you Soho Tavern to everyone.

Great place to visit. Food was lovely. One of the best Indian restaurants in north east. Their reward for restaurant of the year in 2023 is a credit. Was welcomed warmly by Chris who explained everything and was nice to see the Manager Johnny talking to customers. Thanks will be back

For the team dinner this place was suggested. When travelling from Newcastle Central to this location wondered why I have to travel this much distance for a location away from town

But results are good myself, team enjoyed great time. Tasty Punjabi Food and fast service.

Popped in the day after our wedding on our way home as we fancied and Indian meal. We were not disappointed! Loved the ordering system, Lisa who served us was professional and friendly and explained the ordering process clearly. The food was beautiful and nicely presented and we even took home what we couldn't finish in complimentary take away boxes. (I finished it off the next day 😋)
The manager/owner was lovely and recognised we were newly married and offered us a complimentary drink, we were leaving at that point but he insisted that we return to take him up on his generous offer. We will definitely be back!

First time visit (recommended) and we weren't disappointed. Beautifully decorated, lovely atmosphere and a very helpful staff member at the bar. We ordered the mixed wrap, small soho grill, chicken balti, peshwari naan and rice. Wow! Amazingly tasty food, generous proportions, in fact we couldn't eat it all so bagged our leftovers to take home. Will definitely return. 💯
