The Green Man

We were staying close by The Green Man. Google recommended it for some good food… It.was.Amazing!
The Food, the Service, the Welcome, the location, even the selection of music. The Gammon was cooked to perfection and the chicken was succulent, not too dry. If you’re after proper food, good value for money, a friendly, professional, warm welcome then ‘The Green Man’ is the place. You will not be disappointed. Thank you for the experience and the service. 💫

We visited on a Saturday lunchtime so anticipated a busy venue. It always suggests a good choice when the car park is full. Rain had forced all diners indoors, so it felt a bit cramped at times, but as quite a large party ourselves we contributed to that situation.
We all found the staff friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, between 11 of us we couldn't find a single fault and all agreed that we will be returning. It averaged out at around £25 each with the majority having a main course, dessert and a drink. We all felt we'd had good value for that.
It would be nice to try the outdoor areas if we manage to leave the rain behind next time.

Came for Sunday lunch with the family today we had a wonderful lunch we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals especially the lemon cheesecake although I was slightly jealous of my sister who had the cherry crumble as that looked and smelt delicious! Also to see they had turkey on offer was a bonus as not many restaurants offer this!

Would like to just say how amazed we all were with how professional the staff remained after being verbally abused by two customers.
No one deserves to be spoken to like that let alone being embarrassed after just simply saying ‘sorry’ to the customer (We actually heard the whole thing from start to finish) I think the thing that made us laugh the most was the customer telling the manager ‘And why don’t you do fish and chips today it should be delivered on a Friday and served everyday after did make us chuckle she was almost dictating to them what they should and shouldn’t have on the menu! Anyway now I know they do fresh fish and chips on a Friday we will be down to try it! Hopefully we won’t come across those rather embarrassing customers again!

Wonderful family meal yesterday lunchtime.We were 11 adults and four children.We ate in the lovely children friendly garden.Staff were so helpful and friendly.Food excellent at a very good price.A wonderful family meeting place thank you so much.

Reasonable food for a reasonable price, nicely consistent as with other green king pubs.

Great food! The Caesar salad is amazing! And the ice cream parlour is amazing. I had 1 scoop of rum and raisin and 1 scoop of lemon sorbet and wish the pots were bottomless they were that good! The staff are lovely and friendly and it’s a warm welcoming atmosphere in the pub. Highly recommend

Green Man is great been here loads of times and the food and choice is always great, great value and large portions, friendly and quick service. A great pub if you basic but great food.

Came here for a meal a few times and the value for why you get is amazing. Will always remember Shannon and Dagan the two behind the bar staff are one in a million. 100% recommend

First visit since new tenants as we wouldn't go due the the bad reviews. We were a party of 7 plus a toddler and on request they did a lovely mini roast beef dinner for her. So lovely to see the restaurant full and it looked like the bar was too. We all had the roast which given that dessert is included is very good value. The food was excellent and plentiful.
Finally all the staff were friendly and helpful even though they were really busy. Thank you, we had really missed coming here.

Went there for lunch with friends.

Inside is a little dated but not massively. This is really the only negative if you'd call it one.

Food was pretty good; had a cheeseburger and asked for bacon with it as it wasn't on the menu, this was not a problem for kitchen.

Wife had the moving mountains burger and loved it. Chips were very good too.

Large chalk board with specials and desserts on it.

Service was prompt.

Really liked it and would recommend!
