Dobbies Garden Centre Royston

Booked Afternoon Tea here for me and my husband. We were very impressed, there were sandwiches, quiche, sausage rolls and a variety of small sweet treats/cakes including scones, a small tub of clotted cream (each) and small jar jam (each). All were fresh! Staff were very attentive and couldn't do enough for us. There was so much that we brought a lot home, as we were unable to eat it all whilst we were there. Comparable to many Afternoon Teas locally and some further afield. Well done and thank you all for a lovely afternoon.

I wouldn't advise going there on a really hot day as it is pretty much a greenhouse. Reading the comments I was very sceptical and almost didn't go but we thought we'd give it a shot. It is a really lovely garden centre and we were really impressed. We had some food and the cafe and the staff were so lovely and welcoming, every single one of them. We ordered some food, cakes were delicious! My husband didn't read the description of the salad and he realised he couldn't eat it so took it back. The staff and chef were really apologetic even though it wasn't their fault. He didn't want a refund as it was his mistake. They offered to change it for something else and we opted for more cake 😆 Super friendly and they helped clear the mess our daughter made. A lovely experience and will definitely be going back on a cooler day.

Good shop, cheaper than other garden centers. The cafe is amazing - delicious roast dinner, cakes ...till you wait for your food kids can play in the soft playground ( cost £1.50 p/h). If you order main for yourself - KIDS EAT FREE!!!

This garden centre was bigger than I expected and has a huge choice of quality plants. Also the place to go if you're looking for pots - best selection I've seen. Very friendly staff too. Some more knowledgeable/helpful than others!

Great garden centre with wide variety of plants and gifts plus pet supplies, clothing, shoes and The Works in store as well as a cafe for all that shopping - pre book the afternoon tea! Well worth a visit.

We did Santa Paws 🐾 in the Grotto. Lovely decorations and the staff (Santa and his Elves) made it special!

What a lovely Garden Centre very well stocked with wonderful things the restaurant is really spacious and the food was really yummy and well cooked and best of all the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The staff at pet's Corner are super helpful and always willing to provide advice.the choice of plants and garden related equipment is very good and this is our regular spot for shopping, also for toys and games. I would strongly recommend the cafe for breakfast and a hot drink!

Took kids here to go to soft play while we had a coffee. Amazing cake selection and coffee was good. Staff also very friendly!

Didn't peruse the shop itself but appeared well laid out with a good variety of garden centre essentials.

Great garden centre. Came in today for a coffee and a browse. Lovely lad called Gethin served us. He made our day. Lovely manners and a beautiful smile.

Lovely big garden centre and cafe.

My family and I visited today (15th March) and ate at the restaurant. Food was nice, but customer experience was superb. My nephew was outside the soft play and I didn’t have a coin for the slot machine that gives toys that he was asking me for. The gentleman sales assistant probably on a wage of £9/10 per hour overheard and gave us one of his own pound coins. An lovely gesture. Dobbies make sure you treat this employee well as there aren’t many good ones left who know how to make a visitor’s experience feel special…

Such a lovely garden centre. Really extensive selection of vegetable plants and flowers. Staff, (especially the people in charge of watering) are very friendly.

Cafe had a very good selection of food with friendly staff and lots of seating, however the heat was at times unbearable! It would be improved if the door by the cafe could be opened during hot periods.

The food itself was very enjoyable, All hot, fresh and tasty. My husband had a croque madam, I had the tuna jacket potato, and my mum had a cheese scone. All were brilliant.
