Ravensworth Arms

We stayed for one night and will definitely be returning.

Lovely big room with a super king bed and a single for our child. Very comfortable, lovely bedding and very clean. The toiletries were very nice too. The tea tray was great, good tea and coffee (and a tea pot!!!), good biscuits and milk sachets. Loved the decor and colours. Homely and comfortable.

We ate dinner and breakfast in the pub, the food was very good and the breakfast fantastic value at £10.50, it set us up wonderfully for the day.

The thing which sets the Ravensworth Arms out far above the other hotels we have stayed in nearby though is the staff. Warm, friendly, kind and just fantastic. From the lovely initial greeting, the quick check in, the lovely waitress at dinner and the very friendly staff this morning, they really made our stay fantastic.

Popped in on a Friday evening with my daughter and granddaughter for an early Father’s Day meal. Greeted and seated promptly. Service was excellent and friendly. Drinks were served quickly and the food arrived in good time. We ordered off the specials menu and we were glad we did. All meals were delicious. The sauce with the pork was amazing. Presentation was very pretty too. Good sized portions. We were all incredibly satisfied and glad we chose the Ravensworth for our meal.

Today we had our dinner here and it was very very good. Ellie served us and is really nice towards the customers and want them to have a good evening and nice food. We are on a road trip but would definitely come back if we stayed here longer.

Popped in for some Breakfast and a Cuppa, absolutely beautiful! Perfect portion sizes and the staff are very attentive and friendly. We asked for the Chefs names to give them a mention - Lisa, Micky & Kate! Thank you for a lovely breakfast & thanks to Ali for a warm welcome to start my day :)

Just spent a very enjoyable weekend here. Great food. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Definitely coming back for a longer stay next year. The location was excellent.

Celebrated our wedding anniversary today, in a wonderful setting, with a wonderful meal and a great atmosphere.

First of all, fantastic service from Alana. She made us feel very welcome and helped us however we needed. The food has vastly improved lately and the beer selection is lovely. Will definitely be coming again and I'm already planning next visit!

Popped in for a meal with friends and from start to finish the service was amazing. Had our meal in the restaurant and then went into the bar area for further drinks as we didn’t want to leave! Nothing was too much of a trouble for the restaurant and bar staff. Such a lovely, cosy atmosphere within the pub.

I'm a regular visitor to this pub and today was greeted by Ross who was not only polite and funny but remembered what I usually order. It was a sunny day so sat outside and Tanya brought drinks to our table which was much appreciated. Thanks to Christine and Courtney also for making my visit worthwhile.

Excellent hotel and restaurant/bar. Food is amazing and cooked to perfection, having tried several dishes over the past few months. Bar staff are so friendly ( special thanks to Jake for an excellent customer service). Everywhere is spotlessly clean. Will continue to return as it has such a nice ambience.

Had my son’s 21st birthday meal here. All meals were pre ordered except the birthday boy as it was a surprise gathering.
We were served by Cat and Jordan, who kept us flowing with drinks and both exceptionally helpful!
Food was amazing, served promptly and efficiently by the lovely Leah and Mark.
And last but by no means least, the birthday cake was delivered by Bailey and the fabulous singer Ross! Lovely personal touch.

Cheese and bacon burger was lovely hot and fresh very filling, had the sticky toffee pudding for desert which was also very nice. Server Alana was very friendly and a good laugh. Enjoy you pints👍

Stopped off for Sunday lunch as everywhere else was close sed or had stopped serving for the day.
Really pleased we did, food was delightful, service was excellent and a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and go again.

Just had the lunchtime scampi and chips served by Julie. Great value and great grub for a mid day light lunch. And service as ever with a smile from Julie

Stayed in this place overnight, traveled from Halifax area, to watch the England Lionesses at St James' Park stadium. Nice little cottage room (room 8), clean and well presented. The bed was hard so I woke up with a bad back. Heard a few noises outside during the night as I was closest room to the road. Unusual placement of the plug sockets. Would be better to have plug sockets next to the bed. Breakfast was lovely although not enough produce out, had to ask for more hot water and all the pastries had gone. Staff were nice though. The bar was nice and reasonable prices for drinks.

Alana had been exceptionally good and kept us informed of progress of our order. She has an outstanding lovely and pleasant demeanour with the right attitude. I have not come across such a welcoming person for a long time. She is an asset to the Ravensworth hope you can consider her for a promotion and a pay rise. Fraternal regards. Hani

Alana gave us amazing service as soon as we walked in. Welcoming and accommodating, couldn't have asked for a better waitress. Will be returning for her and the food. Lovely food and perfect service.
