A wonderful experience with friendly knowledgeable staff. Great for novices with no prior knowledge. Environmental awareness is top priority. Scenery was stunning throughout our trip.

Recently had the pleasure of going on a 5 hour Jeep Safari with Nick and Myles. As is the nature of the Lake District it rained almost the entirety of the drive but they expertly navigated and coached us through tricky terrain with ease and confidence in a fun and safe manner. I would highly reccommend anyone that enjoys off roading and stunning scenery to book on to a trip with them. It was absolutely spectacular and we couldn’t have picked a better company to do it with.

We’ve just completed ours today…23rd December and it was so much fun. We did about 7 trails, and the terrain was varied. Our instructor Nick was exceptional. In fact, his son was on the trail and he was extremely knowledgeable too & really helped when things got hairy!

About half way through we stopped at the most incredible place for lunch! It was cold outside today but the cars were lovely & warm…which was surprising because they’re fabric roofs with an open back. It was a learning curve today.

Felt extremely safe even on some very steep & slippery bedrock. 😳. Excellent day. We did the 5 hour trek!

Highly recommend & really impressed with the care they took for the environment we were in to preserve the integrity of the unspoiled Lake District too.

What an incredible day! The most exhilarating way to experience the beautiful views. The instructor was brilliant and made us feel safe at all times. We learnt a lot and experienced every type of off-road trail we could imagine! Great experience from start to finish. Would definitely recommend & we will be returning to do it again!

Slick operation. They say; you do; everyone has a great time!!! 0915 till 1430hrs of laughter, focused concentration, laughter, disbelief, Laughter, lunch stop, more laughter and a lovely view of everywhere Lakes. An amazing experience, couldn't pick a fault at all. No pre conceptions. It was relaxed professional well guided adventuring in Defender's. Book on, it's great fun.

Our team had a remarkable experience and is thankful for the great time we shared together.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Kankku is the ultimate off-road experience. The knowledgeable and friendly staff made us feel welcome and ensured that we were well-prepared for the adventure ahead. The specially prepared Land Rover vehicles showcased their capability on the rugged terrains of the Lake District.

The expertise and professionalism of the Kankku team truly stood out. Their commitment to preserving and protecting the historic trails and the environment was evident throughout our journey. We were impressed by their intelligent driving techniques, which allowed us to explore the magnificent landscape without causing any harm.

Our entire team thoroughly enjoyed the off-road adventure. The thrill of driving our own 4x4 vehicles and venturing off the beaten track was an experience like no other. The views were breathtaking, and the weather was perfect.

The entire day exceeded our expectations, and we can confidently say that everyone loved it including the stop-off at The Terrace for a welcomed break, the food served was nothing short of fabulous.

Once again, thank you to the entire team at Kankku for their incredible hospitality and for creating such a fantastic day for us. We highly recommend Kankku to anyone seeking an off-road adventure in the Lake District.

Ace experience, cool vehicles. We had good weather and a very good tour guide. We had a break for lunch with panoramic views over one of the lakes and were out for a little over 6 hours. Great value, would definitely recommend

The experience was lovely
There was no issues with any of the cars and they were in excellent condition
The guide Nick provided clear instructions and his son Miles guided us through difficult trails
The views from some spots were spectacular
Would definitely do it again

Great experience. Awesome vehicles and some excellent trails through the Lake District. Harry was an excellent guide and tutor. Very clear, knowledgeable and patient. Perfect for novice 4x4 drivers.

The 4x4 experience hosted by Harry was absolutely unreal. Exhilarating & a great day out for us as 2 couples on holiday together, a fabulous experience as a driver or passenger.
Take a packed lunch & some warm clothing and enjoy the fabulous views!

Great day out great fun. This was well worth the experience. For all ages to enjoy to. Strapped in a toddler. The trails are crazy but you are guided through them and the views of the fells and mountains are amazing. Big grin from ear to ear. Rollercoaster fun without the speed. Must try to see the lake district in another light.

What amazing day and even more amazing experience myself the mrs and the kids loved it from start to finish .....an absolute must if you are in the lakes the staff are so helpful (jess) and so professional (jess and mark) and the instructor was great (mark) all instruction were clear and he was such a nice guy. Honestly cannot rate this experience enough

We had a fantastic 5 hour road trip , loved it. Everything was done so professionally . We saw so much of the Lake District in a way that we couldn’t have done before , views were amazing. Driving the Land Rover was a great experience . Would definitely recommend this and would do it again . I booked it for my husband’s birthday and he loved it. Nick did a great job and Jess. We had a wonderful day on the 5 hour drive exploring the Lake District; navigating rocky hillside trails and narrow tracks all with an expert ranger guiding us through the tricky terrain. Would highly recommend for petrolheads and adventure lovers alike who want to have a hands on experience and take in the breathtaking views. Thank you Kankku! 👍

Had a fantastic experience doing the 4WD safari. Harry was excellent as a guide/instructor and made us feel very welcome straight away. The views were stunning (helped by good weather) and the trails were great, even for people with a bit of green laning under their belt and the vehicles were a great laugh, i eventually found 4th gear!!

Great experience. Thanks Harry for being an excellent guide and instructor. It was our first time off road. We never realised before the kind of terrain these vehicles can handle.

Amazing afternoon of driving. Rugged trails but excellent coaching from Harry. My partner absolutely loved it; said it was his best birthday present ever! He's now planning to bring his brother. Highly recommended.

We went on a 4x4 off-road experience and enjoyed it a lot! I must say it was a bit bumpy, but the ride back home afterwards (in our own car again) had never felt so smooth!

We were amazed by what the car was able to do. It took rocks and bumps like it was nothing.

There was one very experienced guide that was guiding 3 cars, hopping off and on between us and giving directions over a walkie talkie.

Highly recommended!

Me and my wife went out on a 2 hour experience yesterday afternoon and had the best time, I couldn't have wished for more the guys were fantastic freindly and helpful felt very comfortable doing something I've never done before and loved it, everything from the cars the routes and the instruction was perfect and the views and scenery amazing I couldn't have wished for a better way to see the lakes and to combine that with such an experience was amazing, cantvwait to come back and do the 5 hour next, couldn't recommend enough best bit of my holiday by far,.
