A*** honestly wouldn’t stay anywhere else! Ideally located, you feel shut off enough from the real world for it to be a relaxing and chilled getaway, but still close enough to be able to visit the near by wonders of Leiston, Beccles, Southwold and Aldeburgh amongst others we discovered.

Lovely clean site, the facilities are absolutely brilliant. We played golf, tennis, bike rides and went to the park. The pub has a great range available, and people there couldn’t be more helpful! The site itself is so peaceful! Staff everywhere at Cakes and ale were kind, approachable and friendly. Great getaway spot for all ages!!

We also enjoyed visiting the on site museum, and learning about the history, such a great thing to have so close too.

100% we will be back! Thank you for everything, and for super quick replies to our contact with you!

We loved this site, it is so well laid out and the toilets and showers were great, this was the most friendliest site we have stayed on in our tour of the area, the warden Ken and the barmaid Grace were very welcoming and great company during our stay, ( Ken was off duty). We really enjoyed our stay and sorry we didn't stay longer. Nothing was too much trouble as Ken explained to everyone that if they needed anything, he would sort it for them. The site is not far from the town and only about 20 mins walk. I would recommend this site for everyone touring the area.

Perfect 3 day stay on fully serviced hard standing pitch.
So quiet , well maintained.
Showers and toilets modern and spotless.
Friendly camp warden on call after reception hours.
He also does regular security checks around the site.
Will definitely be going back for longer break.

We stumbled on this place after a mention from a friend…. Wow wow wow glad we did too …. We used to own a lodge elsewhere on a corporate site never again …it has a touring site area and a holiday home owners part for lodges and caravans …. we have now found peace and quiet, a beautiful well maintained site…. The birds and the wild deer sounds and no traffic noise are blissful … lovely play areas for the children and a driving range and tennis courts and a dog walking field 🙌 . If you are touring you won’t find cleaner site and wash facilities and space between the pitches and such easy access to the east coast and shops … if your looking for a holiday home without the hustle and bustle this is it …. This time we knew what we were looking for and we’ve found it … it’s steeped in history … It’s part of what used to be RAF Leiston …. The abbey is just a few fields away … if your a walker a walk from sizewell beach to Thorpeness and Aldeburgh. The staff are amazing to Jo on front desk Grace behind the bar Jamie the general manager and the groundsmen …. All genuinely good people and can’t do enough for u …. I’m hard to please and rarely write a review but credit we’re credit is due 🙌

This hidden gem is really worth a visit, the facilities are immaculate and the bar and staff are so friendly and willing to engage in conversation.
Site is well kept and tidy, only 3 miles to the peaceful open beaches that can be enjoyed by dog walkers and children etc.

Terrific place! We are in a lodge - not a caravan - so we have our own fenced in garden space which is a bonus point for the dog. The lodge is lovely & clean with plenty of room. Bed was extremely comfortable as well. Must point out that the site is extremely well maintained, wonderful place to walk the dog & there is a bar at weekends but looked a bit busy. Overall this is a great site & we are already thinking we would book again.

What a find!!
This is a fantastic holiday park. It’s in a great location in Suffolk, so many places to visit.

The site itself is immaculate, facilities are very very clean. The grounds are well kept, grass cut daily. The staff are all so friendly and are great assets to the owners.

The bar is open Thursday to Sunday and managed by Dennis, who is such a lovely person. He makes all guests feel very welcome and really knows how to entertain and manage a bar. Thank you Dennis for making us feel so welcome!

We have already booked to visit next year and can’t wait to be back…

Thank you all at Cakes & Ale

Cakes and ale holiday park is in a tranquil location in Suffolk. The park is kept in immaculate condition throughout and the owners are very pleasant and welcoming.
There's plenty of space for the little ones to play on the dedicated playing field and there's a couple of tennis courts. The pitches are very generous and there's also an adults only touring section. There's plenty to see and do locally and there's a great beach just a couple of miles from the park. This really is a lovely holiday park.

Lots to do for sporty youngsters including tennis courts, play areas, golf driving range and football pitches. The staff are very welcoming and friendly.
Great place.

We love Cakes and Ale. We have a static caravan there. Friendly staff, family business, plenty of open space for kiddies and a range of activities for the more adventurous adults. Small shop for basics and bar facilities Fri, Sat and Sun's. If your a tourer then pitches are a really good size, with an adult area if you want more piece and quite. Facilities on touring area are very good and most importantly very clean. Great place for weekend break or longer stay. And no the management did ask me to write this, our personal opinion.

A superb site - spacious touring pitches, fully serviced, immaculate, and professionally run. The toilets and shower block are the best I've ever seen on any site. Nice bar with a good selection of drinks available. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We booked a repeat visit on departure.

A really excellent and well run site. Easy to find with easy access. The main site is mostly hard standing with fully serviced pitches. The toilet block is new and outstanding in every way. We went low season and found the site very quiet. The site is expensive in low season and the only downer was that it was a 10 amp mains supply. I would have expected 16 amps on a site of this class.

This site must be one of the best in the UK with superb hard standing with plenty of room. Possibly the best toilet block in Europe with individual bathrooms set out to a very high standard.

Tennis courts, a nice pub, small golf range and play area for children. It has an adult only section which is ideal for extra peace and quiet and the pitches are very well appointed and are all hard standing. The countryside is brilliant for cycling and walking.

Fantastic site
I recently stayed with a friend, initially for a week, but it was so peaceful and relaxing extended my stay.
Super clean , friendly staff, and close to all the wonderful places in Suffolk we wanted to see. Need to return!

This was a new site for us, but it was such a good choice. Pitches are fully serviced which is a bonus, especially if you have limited mobility. The facilities are excellent, all very private and spotlessly clean. The location of the site is central to plenty places of interest, including Minsmere and Southwold and were within easy driving distance. We were there in June so we found the country lanes quiet and there are some lovely pubs in the surrounding villages.

Lovely site that is managed and well maintained by a lovely team. The site is ideal if you're looking to enjoy a relaxing break in the country but also near the coast. Check their website for site facilities to ensure they meet your needs, it's great for a family or couples camping / caravan adventure with a friendly safe feel. Has a little shop and bar.

If this isn't the best touring
Park in Suffolk or possibly east anglia then I can't imagine what is beating it. The staff are very friendly and efficient the site is spotlessly clean and the toilet and shower blocks are immaculate. This site is worth more than a 5 star rating.
