Orford Meat Shed

Excellent local produce seller; knowledgeable, reasonably priced with all allergens and places of origin known. Not a red meat eater, however their locally sourced ploughman's cheese sandwiches are absolutely delicious. Buy one and take it a few hundred yards away to Orford Castle for a scenic, tasty lunch! Really pleasant local owners too.

What a brilliant place, if you are staying in orford, we would highly recommend it.
Everything is so well presented and looks so go. We bought pies for our tea, the choice and quality was very good, we thoroughly enjoyed them. Talking to people in the queue, there seemed to be a great respect for the place, so keep up the great work, you are a little gem.

Visited this hidden gem on Thursday 6th July lured by the signage for honey roast ham hocks. What a delightful butchers . We couldn’t resist buying the beer marinated bacon and some steak burgers along with the ham hock. We tasted the ham hock yesterday. It was the most delicious ham I’ve ever tasted. It’s a shame we live so far away as I would definitely be a regular visitor.

I brought a joint of beef,rolled turkey and sausages for Christmas and found all the meat was perfect, Well Done to yo both and thanks....

Absolutely fabulous produce. The best Cornish pasties I've ever had, sausages that could (and should) win awards & burgers that I want every day.

The Meat Shed was the highlight of our trip to Orford. Diane and Andrew are passionate about what they do and very knowledgable. I loved learning all about Suffolk pork and lamb from them and they were great at accommodating my wife's allergies. I particularity enjoyed the beer cured bacon and the pork pies.

Quite the best burgers around (pork & apple particularly) also a great range of 'home made' sausages . Pies just lovely and meat cuts are always lean and tasty. Quite the best butcher in Suffolk.

Bought some pork chops and a ham hock today. Just ate the chops, gorgeous succulent and tender . We look forward to tasting the hock.

Super little back street shed shop where we bought freshly made baguettes, pasties and other meaty things late one Tuesday afternoon. Fresh meat nicely displayed too - look out for it!

I have just bought the treacle coated ham hocks and I'm in heaven. This is the most delicious ham I have ever tasted and the size of the steak! I'll be back.

What a find. Nice people, excellent products. Had the last 3 chipolatas and they were delicious. Cannot wait to go back and get some more.
