Our community group contacted the County Durham Community Foundation during the 1st covid lockdown, the funding application was quick and easy. We received phone support. Accepted....brilliant.

Then we were informed about other funding openings, again the funding application was easy, and the best thing was we knew quickly if we had been accepted or not. No waiting months and precious time escaping.

They have been fantastic during the covid pandemic and should be applauded.

Would just like to say a massive thank you to the County Durham Community Foundation for the grant they awarded our organisation, allowing us to purchase and distribute food parcels to the most vulnerable and isolated members of our community throughout the lockdown. Without the support of organisations such as CDCF, we would not be able to do what we do. The grant process was extremely quick and transparent, and CDCF have been in regular contact with us, expressing a genuine interest in the work we continue to carry out. A massive thank you to County Durham Community Foundation and their donors. We have received various grants which have had a massive impact on people's lives, improving health and wellbeing as well as addressing wider social issues. Fantastic communication from the foundation throughout the grant process and can't compliment and applaud them enough for all their hard work supporting the community.

Our organisation; Little Chefs Big Chefs CIC has been fortunate enough to receive both funding and fantastic support for various projects from CDCF over the past few years.

They truly understand the importance of grassroots organisations and the vital support and guidance that CDCF offer, means that these groups can then go on to make a big impact in their areas of work and therefore the lives of many.

As the founding director of Clart About Ltd/Clart About Sensory Cafe not for profit organisation. We have received various grants from County Durham Community Foundation over the years and I can not praise them enough for the outstanding help, support and guidance throughout the Covid 19 pandemic. We received a grant to help support new mother's throughout the pandemic and the turn around for this was above and beyond. They have clearly worked around the clock to help us all to be able to adapt and continue to help those in the community most in need. A massive thank you from us.

CDCF have been great supporters of Newton Aycliffe Cricket Club providing funding to improve our training resources. They are always easy to deal with and have been extremely flexible over the last year when it has been impossible to provide evidence of milestones.

CDCF really are true to community, they understand and respond to the needs of organisations, seeing weakness and building strength in depth. They have been invaluable to our organisation and without them we would not have met the needs we faced. CDCF are an perfect example of how a 'Community Foundation' is embedded in the community.

Thanks for the wonderful support you have given Ubuntu Multicultural Centre in terms of funding. Food is a basic need. No one should go hungry. With your support we have managed to deliver food parcels to our communities who have struggled to make ends meet in this lockdown. Thank you.
