It's probably the best fish and chips I've ever had in all honesty.

Lovely cafe to sit down in, and the service was very quick.

The chips were fluffy and perfectly cooked. The fish was massive, and the batter tasted amazing.

Then, the ice cream sundae to follow was nice to top it off.

Staff very friendly.

Best fish and chips in the Stirling area. Good sized portions. Highly recommended.

Been going here for years with the family. Always go for fish and chips and ice cream afterwards.

They make their own ice cream and have many flavours to choose from.

The fish is fantastic, never had a bad meal.

Value for money, always a large fish 🐟 and the chips are tasty.

Visiting from Canada and heard great things from friends who live in the area. Ordered a large fish and it was absolutely massive. Fresh and delicious with great crisp batter.

My favourite Fish and Chip shop in the United Kingdom.
Set in the beautiful village of Allanwater, you can choose to dine in, in the cafe, or go to the “take away” side. Now I have been here a number of times and decided on a take away as it was sunny and my little boy wanted to play out:
I got the “Medium” fish supper, my other half got a Jacket Potato (she’s on a diet!) and Macaroni Cheese for my son.
Food as ever was sublime, beautiful and my little boy, the harshest critique, loved and ate all his Macaroni and Chips! Win win, lovely little day out to here it never ever disappoints.

A hidden place for Fish & Chips. In my opinion the best in the UK! They make it simple, traditional, and unforgettable. The interior is not too fancy, perfect to hang around with friends or just treat yourself in a day.

Ordered a Breaded Fish Tea set. The fish is crispy outside and soft inside. A wide selection of teas and gelatos offered as well. Turkish Delight flavour is soooo refreshing, you even find tiny sweet cubes mixed in it.

Overall a super fulfilling meal. All inclusive main, drink and dessert for just €12. The staff are all kind and helpful. Now I know why the cafe stands for a century. Definitely driving me back for more <3

This place came recommended from our hosts in Inverness and a restaurant in Auchterarder, so we had to check it out. We stopped for lunch in between our site-seeing. We were told this was the best chip shop place in Stirling. I have to tell you, they weren't wrong. This place, hands-down, had the best fish & chips we've had during our entire holiday. The fish was cooked perfectly and the outside perfectly crisp and not greasy. The chips were pure perfection. His homemade tarter sauce was memorable. This place as ruined me for all other fish and chips. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. The "small" is a great portion and there are several lunch specials available until 3pm. Restrooms are available. Breakfast is served until noon and breakfast rolls until 3pm. They take all cards except American Express and Discover.

We met the owner, Adrian, and he runs a great place. We had welcoming and speedy service and everyone was so friendly. He even makes his own ice cream in house. We really enjoyed it! We tried the raspberry swirl and it was yummy. I'm kicking myself for not also getting a scoop of Ferrero Rocher. It was really nice to chat food with him and about Scotland.

If you find yourself in Stirling, you must eat here at least once.

The fish and chips are up there with the best. Good portion size, I had small, that was plenty. Perfect chip shop chips, crispy batter on the fish. Perfect.

It was busy when we went in - it is always a good sign. We ordered a haggis and a small fish supper and they were absolutely lovely. The batter was light and fish was very fresh. The small fish portion was generous. We were very interested in the ice cream but were too full to try any. Will try it next time tho!

Breakfast with my sister, she had the scrambled eggs and black pudding with toast. I went for a BLT, which was a first rate sandwich. Tea in a pot (no bag-in-a-mug) with extra hot water, without asking and a warm, friendly lady bringing everything with a smile. How refreshing.

Called mid July for takeaway but there was no unannounced Friday evening walk ins so we sat in restaurant. Although anxious we felt comfortable & the food was fabulous both chips & delightful fish. Thought we'd round it off with a scoop of ice cream which was equally yummy!
If you're anywhere near (we came from Sheffield, LOL) you'd be wrong to miss it!
Give them a try, we'd definitely go back!
Here's to next time!

Best fish and chips around, great services, friendly staff, and very attentive. We just love this place, even a medium fish is like the catch of the day.
