This is the best coffee in yarm hands down. Not only that but it’s served by the friendliest staff. Lucy will always strike up a conversation or go the extra mile to make your day. The other team members are excellent too, I just don’t know their names yet. The breakfast burrito is the breakfast of champions it’s SO well put together. The baked goods are always delicious but their banana cinnamon swirl bake is just…… the best!
Amazing little spot and I think anyone that goes to costa needs to rethink what they’d rather have on the high street!

Lovely coffee house with friendly staff. Good selection of fresh hot and cold sandwiches and lots of indulgent cakes and treats. Not lots of space inside but nice decor and freshly baked bread for sale! Almond and coconut milk and possibly a return of oat milk soon (please!) :)

Lovely little coffee house in a great location. Coffee was really nice, plenty of options to choose from.

Had a breakfast burrito and the wife had the Very Berry Porridge and they were both delicious.

We discovered Mint Hobo through Groupon, having ordered the 'Sharing Board with Gin and Tonic for Two' and we were not disappointed. From the second we walked in we were made to feel welcome, the staff were friendly and polite but in a genuine way that you don't always find. They were clued up on their Gin, offering us advice when selecting our drinks.

We took a seat and didn't wait long for the drinks to arrive. This was followed by our sharing board. Even the plates had been heated up to help our little packs of butter melt and spread easily on the homemade bread. There was a good range of meats, cheese and Olives. Combined with our Gin and tonics and sat by the window as the Christmas lights of the town started to shine, we were in our element!

At one point the owner popped in and made the effort to come and chat with us. He seemed very friendly and genuinely pleased we'd given them a try. Often we take advantage of a good deal on Groupon but in this case, we both agreed that had we paid full price we still would have got very good value for money.

(I did take a quick pic, but I don't think it does it justice.)

If you're a Gin or Coffee lover and want to enjoy either of them in a relaxed atmosphere, served by friendly and knowledgeable staff, then we highly recommend you give this little place a visit, you will not regret it.

Just lush! Vegan options available, including the BEST vegan burrito I've ever eaten. Just bare in mind parking in Yarm can be a bit tricky.

Such a lovely local coffee shop. The cakes are
absolutely delicious and to top it off staff are so friendly, such a nice service. Really do give the cakes a try, especially if their brownie is available - soo tasty! Hobo Coffee House is that really lovely balance of being cosy, trendy but also makes genuinely great coffee and cake.

Came into this lovely little cafe/bar with my 21 year old son. Both had a latte which was served to us in a glass which we loved and the latte was the best I've ever tasted. We both went for a cherry and orange scone warmed with butter- delicious. Staff very friendly too x

Gorgeous little place with lovely food and drink here. I had a beetroot latte which was very tasty. Shame it is so small as it is difficult to get a seat but doesn't affect you if you want a takeaway. Will be the cafe I choose every time I'm in Yarm town centre

If you want the best coffee, the most delicious brownies and blondies that melt in the mouth, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere, then look no further than Hobo. If it’s something more savoury you’re after, then the halloumi bagel and vegan breakfast burrito are also top notch.
Thanks so much! Oh… and furry, four-legged friends also seem to approve!

Nice little coffee shop with an excellent breakfast exactly like the one pictured. Only 3 tables for >1 person due to space constraints, but plenty of counter space for solo coffee / food. Dog friendly.

The staff are so helpful and friendly, asking us how our drinks were when we handed the mugs back in, and making recommendations when we asked for them. Cheaper and cosier than a big brand name coffee shop, and the coffee is better too! I’ll definitely be back, the jars of tea are so tempting, as are the beautifully packaged coffee pots and strainers they sell!

Beautiful coffee, gorgeous sweet treats and lush breaky! We had the breakfast banger and the breakfast burrito. Guy who served us was really friendly and knowledgeable- answering all our questions about what’s what on the menu so we could try something new. Taro latte with coconut milk is delish! And my partner is now a cold brew convert! We’ve been back 3 times in 2 days … says it all! Cracking stuff! Deffo worth a visit if your in yarm - even if it’s just to pick up a blondie for later! Blueberry and lemon - stunning!

Looked on google for gluten-free cake & went to recommendation only to find they didn’t ! The kind lady suggested Hobo & we were glad she did.
Lovely cake, coffee & staff.
Gave us lots of tips about where to go as tourists.
Many thanks

The staff in Mint Hobo are very friendly and the cafe has a good atmosphere. We've only tried the scones, coffee and special tea, which are all great. Dogs are allowed in.

About Yarm
Town in England

Yarm, also referred to as Yarm-on-Tees, is a market town and civil parish in the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees, North Yorkshire, England. It is in Teesdale with a town centre on a small meander of the River Tees. To the south-east, it extends to the River Leven, to the south it extends into the Kirklevington. Yarm bridge marked the river's furthest tidal-flow reaching until a barrage opened to regulate the tide in 1995. It was previously the last bridge before the sea, having been superseded multiple times since. It was first superseded by a toll bridge in 1771, crossing into Stockton-on-Tees. The town's historic county is Yorkshire, the North Riding sub-division. The three sub-divisions had gained separate county status in 1889 before these were abolished in 1974. source
