This was our second visit, today a ploughman's lunch for me and a grilled chicken burger for my wife.
Both absolutely delicious. May not need to eat for a week 😏
Highly recommend this delightful cafe.
Very friendly staff.
Easy access.
Ourside seating for the right day.

What a veritable delight this café is, nested away in the fields near Barcombe, Sussex. A lovely vibe with excellent staff, like Poppy, always chirpy and happy to help. Our brunch meals were an unexpected delight, including my poached eggs on sourdough toast with a side of mushrooms. My goddaughters had yummy French toast and for our littlest a children's breakfast, which catered for her lactose intolerance. Bravo! My cappuccino was of a very good standard and made from very decent coffee beans, clearly.
I had a quick chat with chef/manager, Jamie, who popped out to see that everything was to our satisfaction. He really cares about the food served and its provenance. He was more than happy to listen and to discuss re Veggie meals, of which there is a fairly good choice, especially so on the breakfast menu, which is available all day! He is prepared to adapt to any customer needs, whether that be vegan, gluten-free or lactose intolerant, for example. A relaxed and supportive approach is what counts. Thanks to Poppy and to Jamie for a very relaxing 2hours, which whizzed by! Great service, great food and a definitely great vibe! Toilets are very clean and of a very good standard, with easy access for anyone with a disability. Brilliant! Thanks to all at Holmansbridge Café! We will be back and will visit the super shop next time! X Maggie Constable 3.4.24

I’ve used the butcher and farm shop for years and thought I’d give the cafe a try for breakfast. It took a while to arrive, but I assume it was being cooked to order. Unfortunately when it arrived both the tomatoes and hash browns were cold, not just cool, but completely cold and inedible. I did mention it to the server but I’m not sure if it got to the person that needed to know.
On the strength of the excellent butcher and shop I’ll give it another chance.

Okay as stated above I returned on Sunday to give you another chance. I so want to to love this place. The young ladies serving are always polite and friendly, a good plus point. The breakfast this time was brilliantly hot, a massive improvement, but to arrive at opening time and be told that you have run out of eggs! Really? It’s one of the main ingredients of the breakfast. So as I’m first through the door, you must have known that you had no eggs on Saturday afternoon when you closed 🤔. I appreciate that you have a regular supplier, but surely someone could have driven just down the road to one of the supermarkets in Lewis and bought a few eggs Saturday? I realise that getting your orders of produce is still a learning curve, but it’s not like you didn’t have any alternatives.
Please get it right, you have great place and great potential, but little things will will not help you
I’m back. Determined to keep giving you the opportunity to make good, I came for breakfast again today
I really got the timing wrong as two groups were already there. I took a table and waited for my orders to be taken. It was obvious that you were overwhelmed with the amount of people who had arrived pretty much at the same time. Order taken and coffee delivered 👍. There was an unfortunate but expected delay in my food being delivered to my table. However, when it arrived, an apology and a larger breakfast arrived. This time it was excellent. Well cooked, and everything hot.
The gesture of the breakfast and coffee at no charge was gratefully appreciated, although I did still offer to pay.
Special mention has to go to the young lady with the dark hair and septum piercing. With all that was going on and the potential of going wrong, she didn’t flap, and dealt with everything professionally. Well done to you all, I knew you could do it 👏👏👏

We had a lovely breakfast on our way home from holiday after visiting the fabulous farm shop.
The food was freshly made and perfectly cooked.
There were some great looking homemade cakes on display but we were too full to indulge
The staff were very friendly and we would recommend people to visit!

Lovely little cafe in the countryside. Just opened a few weeks ago next to the Farmshop. Dog friendly. Excellent full English breakfast.

I was delighted to stumble upon this gem of a cafe, even though I came in for a coffee at a busy time the staff which were gallivanting were hasty to take my order and provide me with a superb cappuccino which I thoroughly enjoyed, the food looked simply delectable and I will be back to try it.

A wonderful gem of a cafe, where all the produce is sourced from their own farm shop and other local businesses! Fabulous service, fabulous food!

Wrap up warm- it’s cool inside. If you only want a coffee and cake - this looks a good place. However, we ordered burgers. Only two other tables taken: occupied by customers eating snacks on toast. Waited 50 mins for the burgers! Not acceptable. Ridiculous

Tried to order at the counter - rudely advised its table service. Great - we’ll sit outside. 15 minutes later after seeing another table outside who arrived after us receive their drinks we gave up waiting to order. Advised the lady we were leaving - just got a glare …. Shame as it’s somewhere we’d use a lot as we walk that area regularly with a group.

Service very poor. No cakes or savoury’s took nearly 1 hr to get breakfast.
