Big shoutout to Anna. Me and my girlfriend's car broke down nearby and Anna was really helpful. Found a mechanic to come and fix it so we could go back to Cardiff the same day. She was a lifesaver. And was a fun person to speak to while we waited for the mechanic. I'd like to go to North Wales again just to see her. The shop was nice as well.

Londis, in Penmachno village centre, makes a success out of difficult retail conditions with enthusiastic help, no frills availability for necessary groceries, a terrific sideline in extras to help outdoor pursuit enthusiasts like cycling spares, and a MIGHTY welcome microwave oven for those sodden days when anything will do - as long as it is microwave hot. I believe Londis offers some Post Office support but I am unsure of their capability. For those en route to Ty Mawr some 10 minutes further along, it is worth stopping before turning on to Glasgwm Road for those picnic extras you just remembered you left behind.

Great, friendly, shop. They let me use their phone to call the AA (as there is no mobile phone coverage in that area) and they let me hang round until help arrived, well over an hour later. They sold everything I needed in that time, and much more, and they even sell mountain bike spares.

I came into this shop while supporting my partner on a two day trek of the Slate Trail. After not seeing any shops for the last several stops, I was so grateful for this being there, but on top of that, it completely exceeded my expectations.
It was very well appointed with tons of tasty snacks and drinks, but the star was the woman working that day.
She was warm, friendly and knowledgeable, and her welcoming personality and engaging nature made me add one more thing to the list of why I love Wales so much.
I'll be back next week for the race itself and I'm going to suggest this place as a stop for all the athletes who'll be passing by it on their way!

Rode through a lot of rain and hills aiming for the pub over the road, which was unexpectedly closed. The lovely lady in the convenience store let us shelter in the shop for over an hour whilst we took it in turns to warm up microwave meals in the shops microwave, and buy coffees and other supplies. She went out of her way to help research and book buses, taxis and trains for one of the group who was struggling with the weather. They even had a fantastic little bike parts section, very expertly put together!!

Hands down, the best store in Wales! We got caught out in some bad weather and took refuge. The owner couldn't have been more kind or helpful, going out of her way to help us out. The store was really well stocked, we got hot drinks from the coffee machine and hot food by using the free microwave. There's even a really well stocked bike section, with everything you could need for your bike!

Can’t thank Anna enough for her help this week, she has really made us feel welcome and helped us with some great information. The shop is also amazing, and has everything you need without having to travel too far from home. Thanks again! Definitely the best little shop in Snowdonia!

This is an invaluable little gem, much needed in the village of rural Penmachno and Cwm Penmachno. We have been visiting this area for many, many years and now have a holiday let there and tell all our guests about the shop. The lady who runs it is the most helpful shop assistant I have ever come across, nothing in too much trouble. The shop is very well stocked, with everything you need including a great wine selection! Our grandchildren love the slush machine and array of sweets/chocolate on offer. Realistically priced too with weekly offers on many of its goods, it also stocks fire logs and kindling, it really is a godsend!

Fantastic shop, with a plethora of products, from fresh vegetables to local beers.

We alwere cycling through as a group. Made us all a cup of tea which was the highlight of my day on a snowy day. Very friendly and accommodating.

There was a wide range of stock and I was able to buy everything I needed. There was a lot of local Welsh produce including a range of Welsh beers. The shop also had vegetarian produce such as Quorn pasties and Quorn mince. The proprietor was very helpful and friendly.

This place is awesome for cyclists. This IS NOT your usual Londis! They stock important bike spares, such as removeable chain links, tyres, and great coffee!

Very friendly staff, extremely helpful and a great range of merchandise from groceries to mountain bike spares. Ideal if you get caught out whilst riding the local trails.
