Dexters

Stopped off in Oundle this afternoon.
Whilst having a little walk round we stumbled across a lovely place called ‘Dexters’ Mediterranean Bar & Kitchen.
Situated right in the town square, down a little cobbled alley way , opening up to a lovely seated outdoor patio area where you can either soak up the sun and have lunch or an evening meal.It also has a lovely indoor restaurant area with well thought out decor to capture the ambience of the night with friends.
We only indulged in a tasty and well made fruit scone ,of which the waitress, sorry didn’t catch your name, went in to great detail on how they were made and the ingredients 😂😂😉,
coupled with a great creamy latte.
Whilst there, we also checked out the menu. What a great array of dishes to suit all.
Will definitely be back, with a table full of friends too ! And……. To ask the waitress how she cooked their seafood paella..Lol !

Stopped for lunch, weather wasn't bad for early may so we sat outside - very nice aspect. Food was excellent - Steaks cooked to perfection and the pollo cacciatora was tangy and tasty. Service was attentive but not intrusive a very nice meal in nice surroundings.

Visited Dexters yesterday evening with friends. Our first time and we regret not visiting sooner! The food was delicious, fresh and arrived hot with hardly any wait. We were 3 omnivores and one vegetarian and there was an excellent selection of vegetarian options across the menu. The staff were lovely, very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had what we wanted. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the interior was so cosy but also fresh feeling, really nice! The outside looked lovely too so I think we’ll be back in the summer for some cocktails and dinner outside! Highly recommend Dexters to anyone!

Went for lunch today, we both had fish and chips, it was lovely and the two waitresses were very friendly. Highly recommended.

Our epicurean expedition took us through three courses of pure delight. Each dish was a celebration of flavour, but the star of the show was undoubtedly the Seafood Paella. It was as if we had been transported to a seaside restaurant abroad, with every forkful bursting with the essence of the ocean. Truly, it was the best Seafood Paella we've savoured this side of the Mediterranean. 🥘🌟

As we left Dexter's, our palates were already yearning for the next visit. The memory of the paella lingered, a delicious promise of future feasts to come. Dexter's isn't just a meal out; it's a 'see you again soon' to a place where every dish is a journey. 🌍💫

Called for a quick lunch while traveling back from South Wales.
Jacket potatoes with spicy Bolognese and prawn rosé Marie.

Outdoor seating in the shade of umbrellas made it a pleasant experience. We only stayed for a BLT and drink but others were having meals which looked good. Staff were very friendly and efficient.

Always good food and the restaurants always clean and friendly 👌

Me and wife went for meal here. Service and warm welcome from all staff was great and the food was even more delicious and reasonably priced. Great popular restaurant. Highly recommend

We sat outdoors - wonderful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. The chef and the waitresses were both very helpful in suggesting which meals could be modified to be vegan. The risotto and bruschetta were both delicious and the portion sizes generous; will definitely be returning here

We booked one of the outdoor pods to celebrate a family birthday. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the food was delicious. The pod was spacious even with 8 of us dining in it, and beautiful with flowers and fairy lights. Highly recommend!

We had a very nice Saturday lunch. The menu is gluten free and quite wide woth an array if pasta and pizza and rissotto.
My mum has a few allergies and the staff were extremely patient.
The food was fresh and tasty.
The atmosphere is cozy and feels quite poah.
Great value and I highly recommend.

Had a lovely pizza and nice side when I visited this week. The waiter George was brilliant and very attentive with a great SOH.
The pizza had a really tasty crispy base and was as good as any I’ve had.
The outside seating has under cover areas and some pod type structures.
Don’t be put off going if it’s raining.
Will visit again next time I’m in this quaint town.
