Salcombe Coffee Company

Staying a week in Salcombe, we tried SCC early on, and every day thereafter!
The coffee is absolutely the best offering, whether takeout or drink in. They also do some amazing hot chocolate, with a Devon rum tot if you like.
The food is good, although the bread slices can be thicker than most. The cream tea is wonderful. The usual coffee shop cake and pasty selections are excellent.
The service is great - the owner(s) taking part in every facet too.
Highly recommended.

Stopped here for a coffee and was taken in by the look of the food so I indulged in cream tea and my wife had a fantastic sandwich. The food was amazing, the coffee awesome and the service was very welcoming. We will look to visit here again when we return to Salcombe.

Just been again September 2022 and the food is still just amazing. Great value food and wonderful coffee.

Great place, we have been coming to Salcombe for years and never been in....we will be back, probably later this week!

I've been coming here for years, friendly staff, lovely coffee and epic breakfast sandwiches, brunches, cakes etc. Not the biggest place so just be a little patient and you will not be disappointed.

Great coffee shop in the centre of Salcombe. The bacon sandwich lives up to the description on the menu “a bacon sandwich, as it should be”. The bacon was super tasty and the bread was fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend!

Gluten free bread available for breakfasts. Excellent avocado. And very tasty tomatoes. Coffee is excellent. Very busy. Try to book if you can.

Came for coffee and cake and was happy! Coffee was good but the cake was where the place stood out. Carrot cake was devine, chocolate cake a little too much for my taste but still very impressed.

Great cream tea and allowed doggies! Ours was very tired after a long walk!

An absolutely lovely place. I visited once with my partner and once alone, both times I received wonderful service and was treated in a way that seemed genuinely nice, happy to have me there.

I enjoyed all of the items I ordered, which included a sandwich, scones and hot drinks. We also took a slice of rocky road home. The sandwich were super fresh and loaded with filling, the scones were really tasty and warm. I loved the hot chocolate so much that I took a bag of the power home with me, though I doubt I’ll make it taste as good at home!

The cafe was clean and well stocked, I will definitely be back anytime I find myself in the area! It’s rare to enjoy every part of a cafe / restaurant, but this one definitely hits the mark!

Lovely place to grab a coffee or stop for breaky. The staff are very friendly and considerate, made us feel very welcome. Had the pancakes and the avo on toast, both really good, the pancakes especially. Coffee is the best we found in Salcombe. Would recommend!

Delicious soups! Avoid the expensive cafes and restaurants near the harbour and go straight here. Possibly the best soup I've had. Friendly staff and the coffee shop is well presented with swift service.

This is a great coffee shop to visit if you are in the Salcombe area. I went for a morning Coffee and had a Gluten Free brownie. The staff were friendly and there was a lovely atmosphere.

My family each got a cream tea which looked amazing. But worth bearing in mind you get two scones with plenty of cream and jam so would recommend sharing if you don't want a large portion.

We didn't have food here but the options that I saw others eating as well as the menu looked great and would definitely recommend a visit if you are in Salcombe.

We ate here at the evening bistro that they run a few nights a week in summer.

The food was absolutely fantastic - far exceeding our expectations and our best meal of the holiday (comparing to places like the pig at coombe and the winking prawn!)

Lovely fresh dishes cooked to perfection and amazing flavours. Have the seafood platter - it definitely did not disappoint.

I was in Salcombe for the day on Sunday and it was so busy so decided to get take away and popped into Salcombe Coffee Shop. Although the cafe was full l was greeted warmly by the staff and my take away order was taken quickly. It wasn't hard to find something fantastic in the selection of sweet and savouries in display. If anything l was spoilt for choice 🙂
As it is a busy place l was asked to wait outside and my order would be brought out to me, which it very quickly was. I had an incredibly delicious savoury muffin and an equally wonderful, much needed,coffee.
I will definitely be back and next time l will sit in and enjoy one of the dishes l saw being brought out of the kitchen. It looks like the majority of the cakes and savouries are made in house too.
Staff were lovely and efficient and clearly incredibly busy but still smiling and polite. It had a good atmosphere.

I couldn't fault our wonderful 3 course meal last night. Fantastic service from the waiters, a varied menu with additional daily specials and the best seafood linguine and warm choccy brownie I have had. Will 100% return and highly recommend.
