Absolutely amazing stay could not fault at all. From the pre-call to check out it was superb.
Staff were polite and helpful and nothing too much trouble. Food was fantastic as well.
Went for my wife's birthday and they put on some simple but very nice touches that made it extra special.
Every aspect of the hotel we loved I just wished we'd booked another night!
Ignore any negative comments about the car park pretty much anywhere Devon and Cornwall is going to be a bit tight on space but it was very well managed.
Would not hesitate to go back. Big thank you to everyone there.

We had an Anniversary Lunch here using their lunch menu. It is a fantastic location and the service standard is way high. The food was portioned well and beautifully presented by polite, efficient and smiley staff. Cutlery and glassware were sparklingly clean
as were the toilet facilities.( I always check the loos before eating as it is a very good indiicator as to general standards).
Lovely views of the Estuary and East Portlemouth from the dining area.

Fantastic hotel in the lovely Salcombe. We arrived early but we were still greeted by James who showed us around the hotel and told us about the area and parked our car anyway while we explored the area. Very nice room and the free gin is a nice touch. Restaurant service was very good and a beautiful setting. In all a lovely stay.

The Harbour Hotel is perfectly placed for the town, the harbour and for the views. The views being wonderful in good or bad weather! But even in poor weather the hotel offers places to rest which are comfortable and relaxing.
The staff are ever so helpful and friendly and the food is delicious, an emphasis on sea food but only what you'd expect from a hotel so close to the sea.

We're having a lovely holiday here until Friday. Beautiful hotel and really comfortable room. I'm enjoying the pool and looking forward to a massage on Wednesday. Wonderful breakfast. My only criticism is not replenishing the tea etc and mini bar. Otherwise, it's fantastic and they bring ice and fruit for your drinks to your room every evening.

Great stay at the Harbour Hotel in Salcombe - the staff couldn’t do enough for you, room had a great view of the estuary and despite the bad weather we had the best honeymoon! Nice touch with gins in the room.

Words can not express how amazing this hotel is. We stayed Fri - Sun for my partners 40th. From the moment we checked in to when we checked out, we were made to feel nothing but welcome. The staff really are what make this hotel, they are simply amazing, nothing is too much trouble.

The food and drink options are good and everything Salcombe has to offer is within walking distance.

We will definitely be back, thank you again for making us feel so welcome.

Fantastic stay at harbour hotel. Check in great. Staff member took us to room. There was complimentary gin and tonic, to which she asked if we would like ice and lemon for it. Really nice touch.
Cleaning staff also offered which was really nice.
Highly reccomend balcony view was fantastic.
Staff here really go the extra mile to make it a great experience.
Would not reccomend restaurant however. Evening meal was not great. Fish and chips bland and crab had shell in. Breakfast wasn't great either.
Hotel staff were great though. Had a fantastic stay and will definitely return. 5* 🙂

As returning guests we knew what to expect so we’re pleased to find the staff as courteous as ever and nothing was too much trouble. Nice to receive the phone call the day before our arrival. We had treatments in the spa which set our stay off to a fab start!
We love the location, views and style of this hotel.
Keep up the good work!

Salcombe Harbour Hotel - 5star rating

I booked the New Year package for my wife and I (3nights), never been away for New Year so wasn't sure what to expect.

Greeted on arrival by a very professional and happy Alicia on reception, incredibly efficient and helpful.....very slick check-in and escorted to our room (inland facing, but still nice)......Next time we will.stay in an estuary view.

The service received throughout our 3 day stay was excellent, as always some members of the team excelled....special thanks to James who catered for our every need at dinner (very knowledgeable about the menu), Adam for his help on New Year's Eve at our table (nice velvet jacket which stood out from the crowd), and we only have great things to say about Chloe the operations manager....... New Years Eve was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our time staying in Salcombe. Bag Piper at Midnight a master stroke, brilliant !!

Food and service excellent, wonderful location and a great few days. The back of house staff also brilliant, the housekeeping staff were so busy but never missed a beat. James also on reception also very helpful.

The Spa very nice, but as the weather was poor so it was very busy. Still nice and great pool.

Thanks for a great stay, we will be back

Lovely clean hotel. Pleasant staff and drinks not silly prices. Lovely wedding venue. Fortunately the weather was kind to us.

Superb experience as first-time guests. Incredible.
Check-in was easy, reception staff were accommodating and made it very easy to understand the hotel grounds. The estuary view room is a must - very beautiful and picturesque. Breakfast and dinner were 5 stars. Spent the morning in the spa which itself is a must - it has a sauna, jacuzzi, heated indoor pool and a steam room. The stay was perfect and absolutely visiting again. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Salcombe

I'm a fierce critic of hotels, but it's hard to poke a hole in this hotel.

The service is incredibly attentive from literally everyone, not just the reception staff, but from every waiter, even the cleaning staff. I couldn't believe it.

The finishings are very new and high quality.

The restaurant is brilliant and the food excellent.

And the touches make a big difference like accompanying you to your room on arrival, providing free drinks in the fridge. And being overstaffed a pleasant change in this world of staff shortages.

I've struggled to find anything that could be improved. Maybe, like all hotels in the UK, it would be nice to see either air conditioning or at least a fan to make those warm nights more pleasant.

That aside, I applaud the Harbour Hotel. Well done.

This is a lovely hotel, this review is not for a stay in the hotel. (I stayed in the marine quay apartments next door) I am reviewing the hotel spa, spa facilities and the jetty restaurant.

Firstly - I had three spa treatments, all carried out by the same lovely lady. (Unfortunately, I did not take her name. I know that she comes from Plymouth, so hopefully this feedback will get to the right person). She was an absolute treasure, so friendly and lovely to chat too.

The treatments were lovely and super relaxing, they were carried out so meticulously and I felt totally refreshed. I felt as though I was truly being pampered, rather than just being one in a line of customers that had to be dealt with. The treatments didn’t feel rushed, everything was perfect. I can’t wait to get back on the table!

The spa facilities were all clean and well appointed. The pool, hot tub / jacuzzi, steam room etc were all clean and in working order. The pool side chairs were also clean and the sheer curtains around them were a clever and classy touch. They provided a level of privacy, whilst fitting the decor perfectly. The pool was never busy, but this may be because I’ve visited later in the season.

The jetty restaurant is lovely, as with everything else, it is clean and the decor is lovely. The staff always seemed friendly, polite and attentive each time we came in. The food is very well presented and is definitely fresh and tasty. We were also surprised to find that our starters were taken off of our bill, because the manager (or head waiter, I’m not sure) said that we didn’t have a long enough gap between them arriving and our meals arriving. We hadn’t complained, so this showed me that they were all paying attention to the diners and the experience.

The chicken popcorn is absolutely delicious and the portions are very generous!

Stayed at the hotel as a surprise for my boyfriend's birthday. The entire stay was a DREAM. Had an estuary room view with a Juliette balcony, the room was beautiful with lovely amenities. Every staff member was incredibly friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The lounge attached to the bar was lovely, and we enjoyed having a drink and playing cards there each evening. The spa was lovely and all of the facilities felt very luxurious. We will definitely be returning

Whilst travelling across the south of England we decided to treat ourselves in solcombe. This place is amazing, the location looks over an enchanting harbour, 5* staff (specifically Keira in the restaurant, who was so kind and professional to our ever need), a relaxing spar, amazing hydropool, and very comfortable room, 5* food and overall just an amazing place. We would most certainly recommend this place, and say that we travel all the time, and this hotel is up there as one of our favourite. Come in the last 2 weeks of May to avoid the rush and get this place almost to yourself, especially the beaches which are empty.
